Vocaloid (KAITO) - Ai wa Sensou

All I ever seem to translate anymore is Vocaloid songs. That's a little sad. Anyway, I tried to make this parallel my translation for Koi wa Sensou (http://www.animelyrics.com/doujin/vocaloid/koiwasensou.htm) as much as possible, although that might be to its detriment, considering that Koi wa Sensou could have benefited from a bit (or a lot) more polishing. I think I was just in a hurry to submit it before anyone else did.

For the line "溺れる愛　これは罪", I think it's talking about the singer himself, not "you" in the song, since throughout the song, it's the singer that's the proactive one, whereas the "you" is simply ignoring / oblivious to the singer's feelings. So "My indulging love is a sin" would probably be a better interpretation.


Some words are too obscure, but still, a more literal translation won't hurt ^_^:


"光角" is the angle of sight formed between the eyes and the object, so "微粒子の光角" would be something like "an angle of sight formed by tiny particles."

"闇弱/暗弱(あんじゃく)" means weak or faint, but for some reason it's read irregularly as やみじゃく in the song. In any case, "闇弱に響く機械音" would be "the faintly resonating machine noise."


The rest is just me being anal, so these are not absolutely necessary to fix:


どれほど声をあげても　君に届きはしないだろう: "No matter how much louder I yell, it probably won't reach you"

いつの間にか夜が明ける　時間よ止まれ: "the day will break before I know it, so time, please stop."

戦況は未だ終わりがない: "There hasn't been an end to this war yet."
