[Help - Device] MP3 player won't connect

Okay, I have a Walkman Media Player for an MP3 player, and I've had it for a little less than a year. Now it always worked fine, but starting about two days ago, it wouldn't connect to the computer when I plugged it in.
Now this is less about the fact that I can't put new songs on it and more about the fact I can't charge it. I tried plugging it in to different drives, I even tried plugging other devices into it, and they worked.
I was thinking it might somehow be connected to the fact I just updated my virus protection program(Norton).
Please, I desperately need help!

You could try disabling Norton and see if that works. There's also usb wall charger adapters you could try. I have one for my mp3 player. If that doesn't work the cable could be damaged internally in which case you might need a new cable.

No, it's not the cable. It works on my brother's computer.
I'll try to turn off Norton first.

So does it charge if plugged into your brothers' computer?

What it sounds like is either a busted USB port or you need to plug it into a USB 2.0 slot. Or a bad cable. Basically try the USB ports on the back of the PC.
