I first used my current computer about a year ago. It was used mainly for just games, since I didn't know how to connect to the internet on it without a little experimentation XD I stored my crappy 98 away and got a better ISP, and now I'm okay with my current comp :)

Uh, for this computer, I got it on my birthday last year.
The first thing I did on it . . . was set it up. =D

I was probably about 3 years old, there was a shareware compilation disc mailed to our house, so me and my dad would stay up late playing Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, BioMenace, Monster Bash, and some others. And in 1997, when I was 5, I used the internet on my own to look up things about Final Fantasy VII (it had just come out and I was playing it at that age :P)

I first REALLY started using the computer when I was 10 or 11. I joined a few forums, one being BlueLaguna that I was very very fond of, and I miss it quite terribly. I always lied about my age and said that I was 13.

Probably around when I was 5. I played those Reader Rabbit games.. you know, the ones that are supposed to make you smarter somehow? I played a new CD for every grade that I went up. First it was Reader Rabbit for 5+, then Reader Rabbit for first grade, then Reader Rabbit for second grade, and etc.

1992- Preschool learning games with the real floppies and no user interface except a command prompt.

There was no mouse and it was black and white. I do all that hard work in the game and a damn pixelated monkey would steal everything and then it starts over.

The very very first computer I have used in my life was my uncles computer, back in Windows 98, I used it to play Pin Ball while listening to his music. when I got my own first computer, I used it mainly to play Quake 3, when it was meant to be used to do homework and school stuff (lol)

Probably around age 6. I might of hit buttons or whatever before then, but the earliest memories I have of myself on a computer are playing games like Jazz Jackrabbit, Sam and Max and Mortal Combat.

I'm not sure, maybe when I was 6. I used it to play games.

And also I did chat on mIrc and lied about my age. I was 8 and I lied that I was 18. :p I was a kid, lol.

Jesus, mIrc's been around for over 10 years?

Anywho, my first time was probably sometime around preschool. My mom made me do those Jumpstart things for school. Anyone else use it?

i was introduced to it at at 10 by a good friend who had rich parents that let em get away with damn near anything, and thus my curiosity with computers grew

Back when I was a wee lad both myself and the old next door neighbours used to have ancient machines with educational games (I vaguely remember one with coloured trains) but instead we used them for Space Invaders, California Games and one or two others. None of them had copy protection of any kind so a lot of kids would share copies via cheap floppies. :D

Dunno. I was 8 or so, I think. It had some simple games in Windows 3.1 and a BASIC-interpreter that ran in DOS, but I didn't discover programming until I was like 9. Not that I did particularly advanced things. Mostly like drawing blobs on the screen-type of things.

SkiFree (http://ski.ihoc.net/) was awesome, though.

I used it to look for anime pics. I used to be an anime freak and thats all I would search for. I'd save pictures on my computer. I used to think it was illegal to download so many pictres.

Thats how I came across AF. Then I started chatting but now I don't chat anymore.

When I was 5, my uncle gave me a computer with a green screen and no mouse. I played chess by typing in the coordinates of my moves. (ie a2, a4 would move my laft-most pawn forward 2 squares.) And a game called Beast where you controlled a blinking square and had to navigate a maze without getting touched by the blinking circles.

Umm...I guess around high school and only cause I had to write essays. I wasn't familiar with the internet until around the same time I joined AF. @.@

Most embarrassing thing now that I think about it: I had to ask someone how to get to youtube....and that's because I thought it was utube.... Yeah....

I started when I was about 4... playing random games where you run around as a crocodile on a quest!...

It's still an amazing game. I only began to really use the internet about 4 years ago for school, assignments and things like AF :)

I had a computer with some Disney internet suite stuff installed on it so I could safely play games at my age. The biggest memory however was when I got a windows 95 machine and started playing Worms World Party on it. ='3 Aaah the good old days.
