So I hope this kind of thread doesn't already exist. If it does, sorry.

Anyway, does anyone have any Ebay horror stories they'd care to share? It doesn't even have to be extreme, It could be transactions that didn't end so nicely. For me, this is the first time I've had a problem with a seller on ebay. I'm purchasing an RTF micro RC helicopter and shipping was already like $20. It's been three weeks and the product page claimed that the item was shipped from US. I message this guy and he tells me its coming from Hong Kong! In fact, today (three weeks from payment date) he tells me that it's in the sorting center in Hong Kong. He can't even give me a tracking number because he says that the price of the item was too low. O_O Has anyone had an experience like this? And is there anything I can do? I've always had tracking number, I paid immediately, and he has bad communication. It took nearly 4 days to get a response from him to ask about my item. :( I just want my Heli!

I like Ebay's variety, but my family and I don't trust it anymore. I wouldn't call it a horror story, but when I was 13, I was into Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. We saw an auction for a lot of like 11 cards and it was guaranteed you would get a super rare or ultra rare card. The package arrived on time (if I recall correctly), but when I opened it, I was shocked. To my dismay, there were no holo cards and multiple copies of one common card. I was pissed and my mom tried contacting the guy with no luck. So yeah, there's my sort of "horror story" from Ebay.

I have a horror story but not from e-bay. A girl who moved schools suddenly was very lonely. She thought she made friends but her group of pals spread terrible rumors about her. When she found out they turned their backs on her and insulted her every day. One day on a fire drill her former pals made her fall into the sewer. They told everyone to look and a few started laughing. Something wasn't right. She was covered in muck and poop with blood running down the side of her face. The teachers called an ambulance but it was too late. She had broken her neck during the fall. That very night one of her former friends was showering and the girl heard a freakish laugh. A clawed hand came out of the drain and made her fall, causing her significant brain damage. A similar thing happened to all the members of her "friend group. THE END!!!! n_o http://dragcave.net/image/ZBaT.gif (http://dragcave.net/view/ZBaT)~DB

Ebay horror stories? not really, although once I outbid a woman on a set of VHS tapes, and she got so pissed that I won the item and she didn't, that she sent me an ALL CAPS email insulting and swearing at me and telling me she hopes I die and never watch the tapes. Lulz

Ebay is srs biz.

A friend of mine wanted to buy something worth 300 dollars, but seeing we live in Belgium, the money has to be converted and that apparently there's a fee attached to it. So in the end after converting the amount of euro's to exactly 300 dollars, she found out she didn't have enough money to buy it because of the fee of Pay Pall. Now she has like 3-4 days to get enough money transfered to her paypall account, but seeing she did it through her bank it usually takes a week before it's completely transfered.
If she doesn't pay her IP will be put on the blacklist and she'll never be able to buy anything again.

Atleast. That's what she told me. I hope she's alright.
