american and european religion has turned jesus into the Blonde Haired Blue Eyed aryan but in all reality he probably looked more like Osama bin laden then matthew Mcconaughy....i mean he was born on the continent of africa and he is middle eastern.what do you think jesus looked like.

Basically how he's usually depicted (long, brown hair, beard, rather tall) but with a tad darker skin.

I'd say Middle Eastern for sure with long brown hair and in some white outfit. I usually place animals around him for some odd reason.
I think Palestinian is the closest you're gonna get.

Higher levels of melanine ≠ sub-Saharan.
Or would that mean native Indians of highly arid areas with clearly black skin is also negroid?
And as for his supposed race, it's an absurdity by now, and I'll bet that the closest we'll get to the truth is raptor jesus. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Njh2LyN_gcM)

Middle Eastern or at least Mediterranean. The majority of Europe ended up with Christianity as their religion so it`s no wonder they changed his image to represent what they looked like.

I don't know a single picture that shows Jesus with blond hair. He's usually shown with very light skin, long black hair, and a beard. If he really existed (which I seriously doubt), he was almost certainly not white, that much I can tell you.

I have never really come across a "serious" photo of jesus that had blonde hair in it. But, as a Christian, i believe he is Jewish and his ethnicity is of the area of Judea which is now present day Palestine. It only makes sense. This whole nonsense of him being white or european is just a plain old farce

According to the anime Crystal Triangel, God looks like a pile of green goo (http://www.anime-planet.com/images/anime/screenshots/crystaltriangle2.jpg). Either that or Ray Charles because if love is blind, and God is love, is Ray Charles God?

As some people have said, I have never seen a portrait of Jesus with blond hair or blue eyes and certainly not both (and seriously, did you have to use the word "Aryan"?). Also, wasn't Jesus (supposedly) born near Bethlehem, which last time I checked was in Palestine, not Africa (geography fail)? This would make Jesus Palestinian and while he COULD have looked something like Osama bin Laden he ALSO could have looked like Matthew McConaughey, as Matthew McConaughey is neither blond-haired nor blue-eyed (let's try looking up celebrities, shall we?).
Palestinians, while Middle Eastern, have quite a range in skin color and eyes. Look at these pictures:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a9/Palestinian_Kids_in_Nazareth_by_David_Shankbone.jp g
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2e/Palestinian_girl_in_Qalqiliya.jpg
http://sabbah.biz/mt/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/6104x.jpg
Some have rather dark skin, some have lighter skin. Some have dark eyes, while others (especially in the case of the first picture) have rather light colored eyes. Sure, Jesus wouldn't have been blond-haired and blue-eyed, but he wouldn't have been as dark as either you or me (and I don't know about your complexion, but I am not very dark-skinned).
Also, and I am probably the last person who should be saying this (most Christians want to burn me, not listen to me), but does it really matter? Seriously, does it matter what Jesus looked like? People have gone back and forth about it and have even gotten into full blown arguments about his appearance, which, compared to the things that he did, doesn't really matter. Just last week, I told my little brother that portraits of Jesus were just artist interpretations of him, not actual "photos" (he was convinced that he "knew" that Jesus was White, causing everyone at the table to almost choke).
Amazing how everything Jesus did takes a back seat to his skin color in the minds of some people. I'll just go with Zedekiah about Raptor Jesus.

not sure, after all his identity is unknown to mankind. some say he's actually a bit black, with black hair, and a black beard. long blonde hair and blue eyes is the most common
by the way we really shouldn't mess with the picture like that (even though i think it's hilarious lol)

Pardon me, and this may blow your mind, but the Bible said "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness" (Genesis 1:26). In fact, God says "us" more than once in Genesis (I may be a Witch, but I have read the Bible just like any Christian). This not only calls into question what God looked like, but also the existence of other gods and what they looked like.
According to Family Guy, Jesus was pretty damn short.
Also, his last name is "Hong".:p

Rather tall?
Given that people in Victorain times were noticably shorter than we are today I think it's pretty safe to assume that in the year 20AD someone who was 5'5" would be considered rather tall.
It's totally unknown whether he was taller than his compatriots and it doesn't matter in the slightest what some guy looked like, but it's safe to say he was tiny in comparison to us.

Considering the "color" of such a historical figure is a provocative, and pointless debate. For the sake of argument, consider the source of the written word, ie the Bible. Consider how many times it's been rewritten, editted, and parts omitted. This entire thread shows human vanity and our own preoccupation with labels, colors, and surface appearances only.
Man was created in God's image, but does that mean two arms, two legs, or perhaps it means that there is body, soul, and mind? There are countless ways to take this.
The jewish tribes were the chosen children of God, as in he selected them, and took them over all others. Note, according to wikipedia, there was 13-14 milion jews in the world as of 2007, so it's as close of an effort as I am willing to make here.
Consider the world population with this, and you should feel incredibly silly.
Faith people, it's all about faith, and just by following such a discussion, you should be able to tell who's a believer or not, and who maintains a faith or not.
Consider this, there ARE discussions that should be stomped out from the beginning, this is one such topic.
What would broccoli ice cream taste like?

I agree it is irrelevant for religious Christians, as most of their dogma either written or selected long after Jesus was dead.
The details of Jesus' life is however relevant for those who are interested in what Jesus himself had to say, as a philosopher and a thinker instead of as a religious icon, for people do not have blind faith in him, but wish to examine his teachings as they would any other philosophy.

What he looks like in films is not necessarily what he looks like in real life. Do a quick Google search and you will find that he has neither blond hair nor blue eyes. I pointed this out because the comparison that was used in the OP wasn't exactly right.

Yeah, like how in Genesis 1:26 God said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness" and uses the word "us" no less than three times in Genesis alone or the many times that the word "gods" are used in reference to the (apparently known) existence of other gods (Exodus does this over and over).:closedeye

Though the old testament wasn't written in English, and there's bound to be a number of grammatical peculiarities stemming form the translation (not because it is bad, but because when translating between languages that are very dissimilar, there is not always a 1:1 translation for some words and pronouns).

Are you serious? First, I have seen the guy, both on television (by television, I mean talk shows) and in real life, so I know what is looks like; its called make-up you guys, for those who do not know (are you implying that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference or that someone wouldn't be able to find an accurate picture of a celebrity on the Internet?). If someone else hasn't seen him, well, they shouldn't make comparisons to them as if they have, which was really my point.
I never gave an exact description of him; I only said that he is neither blond (not even dirty blond, as that means that there are light and dark shades of blond mixed together) nor blue-eyed, since the OP was implying that he was.
Second, WHY are we still talking about it?:rolleyes:

When they Bible says man was made in God's image it means with his ideas and concepts. We look nothing like him. He looks like a light source.
(Psalm 104:2).
And I don't remember there being anywhere in the bible with Jesus having a halo over his head. That's just in artistic representations.
Also, to the starter of the thread, Jesus wasn't born in Egypt he was born in Bethlehem which is in Israel which is in Asia. The reason he ended up in Egypt after he was born was because he was fleeing a king who wanted to kill him.
And he would be Jewish. Because his parents were Jews.

Jesus was uhm....Aguy who wore white robes because he spent to much time in Rome running about screaming "Toga toga toga!" Nah I'm kidding
I guess if you put a comparison to what people calim he looks like in my head I literally have an image of some tenticle monster that can read minds and takes form of a person that combines several aspects from those we hold close to us as out heroes or idols which is why most of the time they say he has a beard. Thats because those people were big -looks around- Chuck norris fans but thats only my guess.

No as far as I know he used to have a darker shade in his hair but now he has got blonde with like darker roots(justifying calling him blonde imo) and he has really pale blue eyes google him in images. He has blue eyes in all the pics where you can see them up close.
