Come, forum bookworms. Impress (or amuse XD) us with what you currently can't put down.

Myself, I'm a major true crime fan. I just finished You'll Never Find My Body by Don Lasseter, and jumped straight to Ann Rule's But I Trusted You. While I generally prefer books written either by or with heavy influence from prosecution/defense, Ann Rule provides a heavily sympathetic voice to her books which pulls at the heartstrings.

1.) The Lake House by James Patterson
2.) MAX by James Patterson(BTW, does anybody know when the next book is coming out??)
3.) The Key to Rondo by well, I forgot the author.
But ya, that's what I'm reading. ^.^

Currently, I'm reading Legends(which is a big compilation of a bunch of authors like King, Goodkind, Pratchett, R.R. Martin, etc). So far, I love all the stories. They are great novella length stories that are just long enough to intrigue but not too long to the point where you are wishing you could just get to the next author(Actually the King story was somewhat like this, but overall I enjoyed it). After that, I'm thinking of reading Terry Brook's Armageddon's Children because I have always loved his works. Hard to fit in reading in between all my own writing and revising though. :<_<:

Im reading The Outsiders by SE Hinton.
Its a good book, but for the reading level I'm at, I think it's a little to simple.
But, since I'm only in eighth grade, and have an entire literacy paper due in a month on the book, (That and Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson . (I have to compare the books,, and choose a thesis.) I have no clue what i should choose.
I just thought i should share that with everryone :3

I read a lot of short manga series [like a volume or two] because I don't have to spend 2 years just to read it all *coughnarutocough*

So I really don't feel like listing it all, the only manga I've been keeping up with is Air Gear, Loveless, Junjou Romantica, and Zombie Loan, and I'm catching up on D.Gray-Man.

There is a whole bunch of manga I'm planning on reading really soon. Dogs: Bullets and Carnage being one of them, I've been seeing more and more of it lately, so I've been wanting to read it, I just never have yet!

I've been reading many books at the same time. Including but not limited to: The Clan of The Cave Bear, The Transall Saga, Many from the Xanth Series, The Shattered World, The Lair of Bones, A Hero's Tale, and a Naruto fanfiction(even though I don't watch the show) called Ascension of the Kitsune.

I just finished The King's Secret Matter by Jean Plaidy, and picked up another by her called Murder Most Royal. Both are about various wives of King Henry VIII. It's unashamedly a little known passion of mine ^^

I too have a tendency to read multiple books at once. These days I'm not so terrible, and usually stick to one book supplemented by books I'm inspired to re-read (often one of my many Lang fairytale compilations).

Books I am currently reading, instead of my lecture notes (Which I SHOULD be):

1. Skeleton Crew, by Stephen King
2. The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov (English translation)
3. Vengeance in Death by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts)

All mystery and suspense, or something along those lines. I don't see the point in reading tear-jerkers all the time. Bodice-rippers, yes, I'll read.

I have got it now, and am reading it. Kinda reminds me what the world would be like if everything was regulated. Bah. As for Margaret Atwood, her books are what I would think of as literature class material...

Now having:
[Stephen King goes to the movies] - Stephen King
[Misery] - Stephen King
[Naked in Death] - J.D. Robb
and, of course [Nineteen Eighty-Four] - George Orwell

Re-reading the Calvin and Hobbes comics.
And All You Need is Kill.

My husband gave me the entire Calvin & Hobbes collection (in three large hardcover books) a couple of years ago. I LOVE it. I grew up with the strip, and had several of the paperback collections over the years which I must have read dozens of times apiece. I've been through all three volumes a handful of times already. What brilliant writing and illustrations.

Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil by Drew Karpyshyn

Recommended if you are a little Star Wars crazy like me, and Drew Karpyshyn is a pretty experienced guy in that universe, just to prove my point lets take a look at what he has written and been a part of shall we:

Games:
Star Wars: The Old Republic - Writer
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Senior Writer, Core Game Design, Manual Writer
Mass Effect - Lead writer
Mass Effect 2 - Author

Novels:
Darth bane Trilogy - Author
Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan - Author (his new book btw, wishing me that bad boy for christmas)
Mass Effect: Revelation - Author

So by looking at his track records, a pretty talented guy, so if you're into Mass Effect or Star Wars Old Republic stuff, I'll recommend you once again to check out his work.

More than Matter by Keith Ward. I have no idea how anyone can be a philosophical materialist (believing that existence can simply be summed up by matter and material processes) after reading this, though Kant already did a lot of damage to materialism over two centuries ago. Sorry, I babbled; excellent book from Prof. Ward.
