D'gray man Title explanation

D'gray man is one of my favorite series. The problem is... I dont know what the title means! I heard it stands for Dorian Gray, but what does the series have to do with him? Is the D'gray man a person? Is it the earl or a noah? Give me some theories or something.

I think the explanation was that the word was just made up, but you might have better luck asking in the General Anime forum. :)

After some research, I've managed to decode the contents of this thread so far as to be certain that it has something to do with some sort of Manga or Anime. So I'll move it to General A&M.
