I hope this in the right section. It fits IMO.

Anyways, what is your photo editing program of choice?

I use MS Paint, and I can do some stuff in a program called Paint.net (I use it for photo rendering the most)

I like Abobe Illustrator or Adobe Fireworks (CS4, thank you college for cheaper software). Inkscape and Gimp are good free alternatives (and a lot less bloated).

I can never get into Photoshop, even after trying many times (and different versions). The interface just bothers me.

GIMP mainly, custom-written software for certain image manipulations.

Well since my brother barely allowes me to use his photoshop I need to stick to Gimp most of the time, which works well.

Paint.net and Gimp. I wish I had the latest version of PDN so I can use the plugins but I don't have a administrator account(School laptop). For now, I use Gimp which is pretty good. I want to learn how to use Corel Painter and SAI though.

Well, depending on the complexity and the goal(s), I use either mtPaint (it's fairly similar to MS Paint), the GIMP or InkLite (it's a trimmed-down Inkscape). If I'm in a strange mood or need something more exacting, I have a few simple CAD programs I can use, too.
I have been known to use gThumb for simple cropping, though.

Photoshop 5.0.. yeah, lame, I know.
I'm trying to get used to Gimp but I haven't had a chance to sit down and familiarize myself with it yet.

Use GIMP people. Say no to illegal software. I use GIMP mostly; but I use inkscape to draw circles and connect them to rectangles. I'm not even using the 0,5 % of this insane program's abilities... :D
