View Full Version : [Help - Windows] Tracking data
Is there a way to track the amount of data I use while I'm on the internet? (okay I'm sure there is a way, can someone please help me find it)
Why is this labled "hardware"?
Anyway, if you use windows XP, the network settings dialog has two fields "RX" and "TX" bytes. That's how much you have received and transmitted, respectively. You can get to that dialog by double clicking the small blinking networked computers symbol next to the clock in the lower right corner of your screen.

I'll just label it "Windows" for now and hope it's the OS the data needs to be retrieved from.
I share the internet with my father and brother, I'm not sure how its works in other countries but here we have to be our internet in cap sizes, we buy like 5gig for a month and when that's done our internet gets cut off till the new month starts, so I want to track my downloads and internet usage so I know where I stand.
