I background story:
Past:
For thousands of years, Humans had known of the existence of devil's but had called them by different names. The battles they fought were often not known, and ones that had became things of legend. As time past, so had more frequent battles with the Devils. The battle reached it's peak in late 1190's, where a literal war had broken out between the two. Humans defected to the Devils, and Devils defected to the humans and the war itself lasted till the late 1800's. At the end, the humans had managed to push back the devils into their own world, due to sacrifices by a battalion of remnant knights, and polish dragoons lead by a man named Garl Vinland. Even though they were stranded in the devil's world, they were able to seal off the gateway with an obsidian slab called a hellgate, covered in gold trimming and markings, it was designed to keep the devil's out and weaken any that come through.


Current year -2014-:
More then one hundred years have past since the first Hellgate was made. Over time, more were created and no one knows exactly how much there are. The Devils who defected to the human side remain tucked away, attempting to blend in with society. Though the masses try and remain ignorant of the Devil's, there are times when they become known and due to their ignorance, they pass them off as 'Urban Legends' or 'Myths'. The people who do remember the Devils, and know they exist are few compared to the population of the world and became known as Devil Hunters. Though they advertise their jobs quite a bit, they're taken as seriously as a fortune teller on the street. They do any kind of jobs relating to devil's in some way for money.

As time pass, more devil's began to pop-up. Though it was one of those 'ridiculously hard to notice' changes. Like finding a single needle in the haystack the size of a barn. The Devil Hunters haven't noticed this at all, and continue fighting. Just like any other day.

It's just another savage day on planet earth.

II World of the Devil's
The world beyond the Hellgate. Though the term 'worlds' would make more sense. Existing in another plane of reality, the amount of worlds is near limitless and are connected via portals, though some worlds are connected to others while not connected to a different one, and the most in a world is at least two. Save for the world known as 'Purgatory'. The largest of the devil realms, connected to nearly every other realm and controlled by six ruling Thanatos class devils. Yggdrasil, the tree of life. Morrigan, the goddess of war. Caucus, the giant of fire. Varna, the guard of the underworld. Allant, the false king. And Myr, the goddess of rebirth.

They rule over what is basically a massive gray fog. Any buildings are concealed, and any pathway is not seen until one starts walking, where the path begins to build itself on the path they walk. Though when they walk far enough, the path behind them begins to crumble and deform. And buildings seen are in the style of Gothic Medieval cathedrals.

III Terms/Item database:
Soulgem-A piece of a devil or human soul that has been solidified after being killed by a devil. These attracts devils as when they eat more soulgems, the more powerful a devil becomes. They are basically souls. Most humans don't realize they have them, until they have been torn from their body. The reason humans become marionettes when they devour soul gems is due to the fact two souls compete for each other to rule the body, and in the end the body becomes a lifeless heap. Devil's bodies are designed to instantly devour, and absorb, soul gems that enter their body.

Hellgate-Giant obsidian, rectangle slabs with golden markings on them. Entrances into the devil's world, which the humans called Hell. After the war between the Devils and Humans, the humans were able to make the Hellgates weaken devils coming into their world with the help of the devils that assisted them. Though Devils up to fallen and forgotten ranks would feel little from it, Thanati devils would feel the greatest from it as they would lose about eighty percent of the power they could normally use.

Devils-The term used for demons in this rp. Each differ in abilties, and power. Certain species are commonly known such as the lizard man, oni, banshees, etc. More rare, and powerful types of demons are one of a kind or an isolated species, such as the Leviatan. Able to transform between human and their true form freely.

Devil Hunter-Beings that specialize in the hunting of devil's. Each have their own unique style and sets of weaponry at their disposal. Taken about as seriously as the fortune teller down the street by most people.

Half-Devil-Beings that were born from the unity of a human and a devil. Usually shunned upon by the devil hunters, but are renowned as excellent devil hunters. Able to transform using their devil's blood inside them for a short period of time. They can be told apart from humans by a small marking, or tattoo somewhere on their body.


IV Devil Hunter Rank/Devil Class:

Basically what this is, is a letter grade of how well your devil or devil hunter is at doing his thing. It goes from D to S.

Devil Hunter Ranks:Show how many devils it's slain/skill during jobs.

D Rank-Does a bad job quite often, and doesn't get too many jobs.

C Rank-An Average level devil hunter. These are the most common and receive a normal amount of jobs that receive a fair amount of pay. Human devil hunters are commonly around this class.

B Rank-An above average devil hunter. Is able to clear jobs at a faster pace than C rank devil hunters, and is exceptional at battling Devils in battle. Half-Devils and Devils devil hunters are the most common in this rank.

A Rank-A good devil hunter. With a high job clear rate, these are the ones people look to the most. These get some of the best jobs and an extremely good amount of pay that could last them weeks on end. Half-Demons and Humans are rarely seen in this rank.

S Rank-An excellent devil hunter. He completes his jobs with the least amount of causalities and damage done to his surroundings. Gets the best jobs, the best pay, and people to find jobs for him. (Basically god-mod. Tell me if your gonna do this first. And I'll think aboot it)


Devil Classes:

Marionette-Lowest class of Devil, they have no soul and are often used as puppets by higher ranked devils. Near limitless in numbers. (Not suggested unless you want to RP a soulless heap of. . . .Leather)

Re-animated/Lower Devil-The second lowest class of Devil. Re-Animated are humans that have been turned into Devils by being forcefully infused with a soulgem from a devil while lower devils have not killed enough humans to become a true devil.

Devil-The third Devil class. They are of moderate strength, but of course it all depends on what you are fighting. They all have different strengths, weaknesses, and even abilities. These Devils has gained enough soulgems to be called a Devil, or true Devil.

Fallen/Forgotten-The fourth Devil class. These are considered powerful even to an A rank Devil Hunter. A Fallen's main attributes would most likely be it's brute strength, or it's close range attack skill. A Forgotten is a more range-like Devil rather than it's Fallen counter-part. Of course, there are a vast array of abilities in this class. Including creating illusions, and the works.

Thanatos-The strongest class of Devil. Even though they are Devils, it's rare to see them treat lower classes with respect or even dignity. The Thanatos class has more abilities at their command than just the usual handful. In terms of form, they are very similar to Half-Devils by being able to switch in and out of human and devil forms. Even though all Devil's have this ability, the Thanatos class can keep the form while using it's most powerful spell. (god-mod. Go through same stuff as S rank devil hunter)

V NPCs

Human NPCs:
Edward:A man in his sixties, though fit to the point where he is in his thirties. He is the main supplier of weaponry to the Devil Hunters and has many shops around the world. Wears an innter tux shirt, a black vest, a red tie, black dress pants and shoes, and in his pocket is a notable pocket watch chain. He also wears a pair of glasses that seem to let in no light at all. With a butler-like personality, he may not sound sartcastic when he is. Cares about his business more then anything else. On a side note, people have reported seeing him being in two places at once, seeing as he's the only employee at his shop. Thus many odd rumors surround him.

Amon E. Granitz:A young boy of fourteen years old. Appears calm, and emotionless. Leader of a group of people called the Order. Their aim is too destroy, and eradicate all traces of Devils from the face of the earth. At a young age he was already making automatons, and by age ten he made an A.I to go into said automatons. In the same year, however. A devil had brutally killed his father in front of him and had almost taken his life if it was not for a Devil Hunter. This sparked within him an insane xenophobic rage against anything Devil. Including half devils. At age fourteen, he became the leader of the Order which exists to 'protect humanity from the Devil threat'. On the outside they appear as a growing religion, behind the scenes is the whole devil annihilation process. He provided blue-prints and a power supply for robots, powered by soul-stones. Since they do not have souls to begin with but an A.I, they can handle having a soul stone giving them powers of a Devil. Though their powers are mostly the same. They excel in both far-range and close-range combat and is Amon's plan to destroy the Devils with as little human casualties as possible.

Roland:A head of a city filled with Half-Devils, though he himself is a Devil. He appears around 5'8", wears a brown coat, camo jeans, black shoes, and a pair of gray tinted sunglasses. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and white skin, and also fancies himself a shotgun when out of his Devil Form. Though he is the head of the city, Lokapala, he's had a recent history of being an alcoholic.

Devil NPCs:
Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life: One of the six ruling Thanati devils in Purgatory. Appears as a child in ragged clothes with dark brown hair, as well as hints of dark green. His eyes are green, and he has a child-like personality even though he is the eldest of the six Thanati devils at the age of 7000 years old. His main powers consist of controlling plants, creating plants, and communicating his plants. Doesn't fight that often so records of his Devil form are very inconsistent and don't match up with others most of the time. Though one matches every now and then. One of a perfectly healthy, massive tree instantly turning into a decaying tree.

Caucus, the Giant of Flame:One of the Six ruling Thanati devils. Appears as a man in his late forties, and extremely fit. In human form he stands out due to his height in human form being a good 8'11. Personality-wise, he seems to act before thinking and is more of a 'hands-on' person then anything else. Due to his red eyes, he wears glasses in his human form to make less attention then what he already has and wears baggy pants with an undershirt. Caucus' powers consist of fire, since he is basically flames incarnate. His devil form was barely recognizable one time, and the Devil hunter that survived said it was a giant made of flames, causing flames to erupt from the ground whenever he walked.

Morrigan, the Goddess of War:A rather eccentric Devil. One of the six ruling Thanati devils in Purgatory. Wears, whats basically, what rich people wear almost all the time when they are going out to somewhere nice. Which is odd considering she is the goddess of war. She has long black hair and brown eyes as well as pale skin. Her powers are unknown, but one Devil Hunter reported seeing Morrigan wearing black plated armour that resemble a raven with black wings sprouting from her back with a claymore in hand, drenched in blood. Laughing.

Varna, the Guard of the Underworld: One of the ruling Thanati devils in purgatory. Varna is a relatively quiet man. Though when he talks, he usually does so when tearing apart his enemies. He is almost always in his devil form, which is one that looks like bones are protuding from he shoulders, arms, hands, and legs that make it look like armor with purple skin, and a helmet that looks like a crown made of bones, covering his eyes. His powers consist of controlling ice, but he rarely ever uses it. He uses his main weapons, which are two massive curved blades coming from his arms(like switch blades) and tears aparts his enemies swiftly, and then devours them. Flesh and all. The most commonly said phrase by him is "Rend, Slaughter! Devour our enemies!"

Allant, the False King: The second youngest of the Thanati devils ruling purgatory. The first human to have betrayed the humans, and willingly devour a soul gem and not become a marionette. He wears a white trench coat, buttoned up and gold platings on the should as well as what appear to be medals on the right side of him. The coat has golden trims, and he also wears white gloves. Appearing in his late fifties, he has long grey hair and gray eyes. With him, he carries a long sword around with him where ever he goes. The blade is curved near the top, then on the other side, it is curved near the bottom. The blade itself is pitch black. Though he has no devil form, he can control the power of the souls he has devoured, giving him almost limitless amount of abilities.

Myr, the Goddess of Rebirth: The youngest of the Thanati Devils. She took the place of Anubis, the god of the dead who now serves under hear after resigning from his spot. She appears as a woman in her early twenties, with white hair, blue eyes, a white coat, white pants, and white shoes. She always has an expressionless face and her voice is cold. Next to nothing is known about this Devil even to the other five Thanati. She came into power about a year ago, and even then none of the Thanati can actually see her as their equal, even if Anubis kneeled down to her in front of them. She is always seen beside Anubis, who's human form appears that of a respectable man who comes from Egypt. Not even her Devil form is known, as it has been known whenever she fights Devil Hunters, Anubis always fights for her as she stands behind the lines, calmly watching the battle.

VI Rules:
1.No character will be god modding(unless they are Thanatos or S class. In that case, PM me first.)
2.Try to keep Deus Ex Machinas to a limit. Please.
3.Do not pop up in the middle of someone's RP without going by with them first. Please.
4.If your character has a soulgem(in which case they usually do), they would near-instantly die when it is removed. Kinda like tearing out someone's heart.
5.You can go overboard with weapons. . .to a certain extent. A -certain- extent.
6.I'm beginning to run out of rules. Never been good at this before. Lesse. . .since this RP is kinda on a 'world scale' thing, it'd be best if people RPed in groups. Thats what I think, unless some kind of event is starting.

Personality: This creature is an amalgamation of emotions from countless soul gems, all competing and conflicting with each other. As such, there is no true personality to describe it, the only thing that remains constant is its hunger for soul gems, and its instinctive nature. Over the centuries it body has shown increasing capability to at least simulate advanced human emotions, however these are just a result of a particular formation of the souls making up its pseudo-sentience.

It seems to have no goals outside of its hunger for soul gems... however it will often act on the impetus of the souls within it depending if their is a consensus among them.

History/Background: Nameless began life as a man... a nameless unremembered man. His life is completely unknown but at some point his body became a marionette. The body drifted through the realm of demons, and became manipulated by a particular devil. Under its service the Nameless fought with many, many other marionette but by chance, it survived. As it continued to live it began to follow its base hunger for soul gems, and as it ate it grew stronger. Countless soul gems were consumed and the Nameless became the embodiment of these souls. Eventually, its master died and without a controller it once more drifted... but it had become stronger.
It continues to drift, empty but no longer a mere Marionette, with every new soul gem consumed it becames more self driven, having already gained a basic instinct and is now capable of expressing basic human emotions on occasion. However, it lacks an intellect, and continues to exist only as a nameless hunger.

Devil Hunter: Yes. (Also, if allowed, assassin in pertinence to human’s as well, depending on the head toll).

Appearance & Personality Combined: Mila has sleek dark auburn hair and intrinsically alluring chestnut colored eyes. Surrounding the pupil, is a liquid gold tint that beautifully blends into the chestnut, causing quite a lovely dark-light contrast in color – truly her most mesmerizing facial attribute. Her skin tone is a tad on the pale side, and she stands at about 5’8” in height. She is slender, but do not let that fool you. Hidden under her smooth toned skin she is unnoticeably packed with muscle, and a lot of it. Her face is often expressionless, but the emotions conveyed (expressed) through her eyes make up for that. That is something that she often tries to cover though, thinking that it shows weakness on her behalf and weakness pertaining to the field that she often refers to as a ‘”job” and had chosen to pursue as such. This makes sarcasm a pretty big attribute to her personality to cover up for what she “lacks” emotionally. Her lips full and a deep red seem to speak volumes upon the unsealing of them, that is, when she is not uttering something that turns her tongue into a poison stained dagger that diminishes the very worth of whomever she is angry at. Being half-devil, Mila speaks the language that her family shared, on both sides, and very few even know what it is. Often times to confuse those that she may speak to, she purposely speaks in this tongue/dialect although she knows perfectly well what language they may be using in turn. She loves seeing the frustration on the faces around her, or the pure confusion that may root itself up from that in any given situation, especially if she was the cause of such expression or emotion. (There will be more to come in regards to this section. I just feel as if it is not even nearly as complete as I would like it to be. I just cannot think straight right now for some odd reason. Hehheh I hope that is all right with you.)

History/Background: Being the daughter of a high-ranking and powerful devil, and an ordinary human being, Mila has more problems than she would like, and most of them are caused by the unfortunate sins of her parents past. Going against everything that she believed in and ever considered moral, it made her have a deep rooted hatred for those affiliated or connected to her in any way, making it hard for her to make friends, or even acquaintances. It also caused her to doubt and even lose faith in her own capabilities and insight on things. She has only a few contacts in which she just nonchalantly passes by from time to time on her way to different destinations through the work that she does, one even being a devil that is constantly trying to sway her to come to their side and join her parent in what they were planning, shrouded in silence and mystery. Being the person that she is and having that hatred that reaped within her, she is not one to be swayed easily and often finds herself arguing with such devil…although at times she does not even know why she would give him the time of day due to his constant frustrating demeanor and annoying presence, having her question even herself. Working hard to find the truth that may lighten or darken her path, Mila is on a constant journey to find a way to relieve herself and the world around her of those who had severely severed her past, and anything or anyone that may have a connection to it. Name: Coeus Jadon Avichai

Gender: Male

Age: Twenty Four to Humans.

Race: Devil

Devil Hunter: Sometimes—on occasion (whenever it best suits his fancy).

Appearance & Personality: Being a devil, Coeus has the typical dark-esce mien about him -- Brown Black colored hair and light Grey Green colored eyes. The color protruding out from the center of his pupils a deep orange-red that brings out the lighter color surrounding it, dancing like a burning flame when his temper is met or when he is being serious about something (or trying to get his point across); matching the color of a newly lit sunset just arising in the midst of the sky in the dawning twilight. His skin color is a mixed tan-pale color and he stands at about 6’3” in height. Coeus has a physique that shows that he takes more than the “average” initiative to stay active. Well, that is unless his “job” is the thing causing his appearance to be just. The fine contours of his body match that of his given personality – cold, viciously consistent, and unyielding, that is, unless he is given a mission in pertinence to a certain thing or individual, or has a soft spot for anything of the type where he is prone to put on a slightly rigid façade. Being of a cruel nature, Coeus is often clashing heads with himself, not understanding what he did wrong in certain situations, because his idea of the “right thing to do” is often depicted as “wrong” to most. Taking this problem into his grasp, he is often confronted with an impending guilt complex which drives him to be more remorseful than he should be in certain situations, and it is often considered his weakened point, or fault in terms of the devils and what they stand for. (More to come on my behalf).

History/Background: Not much is actually known about Coeus except that he just seemed to walk in amongst the devil ranks one day and take a high position by the reins and harness with his cocky attitude and powerful persona. Nothing much is known about where he came from, or who he really is based on the information that he had given. Maybe some day this can be revealed, but only time will tell. He spends his time doing the work given to him, and the work that he gives himself, taking some time away from the “job” handed to him to pester, taunt, and provoke one of his boss’s daughter, even knowing her native tongue to annoy her further. But hey, that is part of the job and he would not have it any other way with his love for frustrating people whenever he can. (More to come here as well).

Appearance: Sleek red hair that falls down to her heels, with big, deep golden irises that seem to penetrate your very soul. With thin blood red lips, a pale complexion, and a slim body, she looks older than her real age. Melanie's attire consists of a black long sleeved shirt, with a black leather vest over it. Her pants are similarly made of black leather, with two pockets of the thigh and silver chains dangling from the belt area. A silver belt hangs loosely from her slim waist, two gun holsters firmly attached to it. To cover it all she often wears a black hooded cape, once again made of leather. From her neck hangs a thick silver chain, with an also silver cross pendant. Her hands and feet are all bound with silver chains, symbolizing how she was tied down to the Mornavira house. On her shoulder there is the Mornavira sign, which was burned into her skin.

Personality: Arrogant and moody, Melanie holds a certain pride that is impenetrable. With her follows a feeling of superiority and authority. She keeps to herself and rarely socializes, often wearing a frown on her face. She has always protected those who are below her, however much she tried to ignore them. History/Background: Melanie is from a noble family, who fought loyally in the war between Humans and Devils. However, the princess of the family that generation happened to fall in love with a devil. They eloped together, not to be found by the family until 7 years later. When the princess' father found them on that rainy day, the devil was brutally murdered by the soldiers he had brought along. The princess', overcome with grief and despair, killed herself at that spot. However, after the soldiers searched the house, they discovered a little girl with strange golden irises hidden in the closet. This is Melanie's beginning as a Devil Hunter. She was 5 at the time.

Melanie was brought back to the mansion and harshly trained. She was trained to be the best, and rise over the best. The words that were harshly whispered to her over the years were carved into her mind. Never look back. Never regret. Never fall. She has mastered refilling the magazines, and does so with the time of merely a second.

History/Background: Myurn was born to a race of Ventriloquist Devils (A race of Devils that eat soulgems but once the get strong enough they develop things called soul-strings that allow them to "jack" into a Devil that they have already killed. Once the Devil is killed instead of eating the soulgem they use the body and the power the body had as a puppet. The down side is that the Ventriloquist has to be the one to kill the devil in order to be able to jack into there soulgem and use there abilities. The process is not an easy one and they can only jack-in to Devils weaker than themselves, they are also only able to have Five puppets or less depending on there class.) and from a young age was praised for her talent. Back in her childhood years she was called a prodigy because she had two Marionette class devils. In almost a split second, Vasil was impaled onto a tree, shotels digging into his body and keeping him on the tree. Nakiami was picked up by the neck and impaled through the chest, and her soul gem came flying out.. Myr had just stood there, calmly watching the battle until she told him it was time to leave since they got what they came for.

Though Vasil was still alive, bleeding heavily, Nakiami had already died and her body gone. All that was left was her soul gem. A year has past and that image, still vivid in his mind, marked the end of the days he had considered happy. You can often see her applying make-up even when in a battle, and her manner of dress is far more flashy than practical. History/Background:

Clare ran away from home at the age of 9 due to unknown circumstances but she soon found herself in front of the doors of a very prominent demon hunter known through out the land as Paulette Ratear. She was a powerful rank S hunter with knowledge and kindness she was willing to share. The demon hunter took Clare in and raised her as her own daughter. Clare was awe struck with Paulette power and beauty every time she accompanied her on a mission that was safe enough for her. Clare wanted these traits as well and pleaded with her surrogate mother to teach her ways. Paulette was hesitant at first due to the fact that she didn't want to expose Clare to this world anymore than she needed too but under the weight of Clare's desire to learn she ceases her worry and began to train her.

The young girl started off at rank D when she was 10 but with unthinkable results she reached rank B when she was 13. Paulette was amazed and worried with her child’s progress due to the fact she saw so many hunters like her daughter buckle under the weight of a all this power they attained. There was reason to worry though Clare wanted more and more. A deep hunger set into her stomach and no matter what she did nothing could cure it. This continued until she was 17 and at this time she reached one of the hardest to attain ranks which was rank A.

But one day while she was on a mission she saw something un believably breathtaking after she finished a trying mission. A hundred yards in front of her was something she could never forget. A beautiful woman with luscious long black hair and skill as white as the moon wearing black plated armour that mimicked a raven's feathers with magnificent black wings sprouting from her back with a claymore in her small but powerful looking hand, drenched in blood laughing without restraint.

"Beautiful." Was the only word that left her lips because before she knew it the woman was gone and all hat surrounded the area was a thick coating of blood. Ever since that day Clare changed completely the sweet girl that was once there was gone and a new cold and ruthless girl replaced her. Personality:
To Jace the concept of fleeing doesn't exist. He is a hardened Devil who will never run away. He sees honor as a very important thing and will not let other break it. If they do he will kill them relentlessly.
He is smart enough to know when things can have honor though and see the mindless as something to pity for their lack of honor.
There is a part within him that hates devils to the core of their existance and on the are occasion he lets his rage overcome him he will destroy any he can find.

History/Background:
Jace used to be known as Erebus, The Embrace Of Darkness the oldest of the ruling Thanatos class demons. He was as powerful, if not more sometimes, as each of the ruling lords and constantly sort to find someone as strong as him. He fought battle after battle with the humans looking for one as strong as him. He even fought devils just to test there strength Those that failed where given two choices, serve or die.
As the war between the humans looked like it was going in favour of the them the other Thanatos lords got worried. If the humans won then they would be imprisoned away with Erebus and he would most likely look to them for a challenge. Lead by Yggdrasil they attacked him before he could turn his attention to them. Knowing they could easily destroy him without weakning themselves before the final battle they instead imprisoned his powers. A cruel trick by Morrigan. She knew what it would do to him who had always looked down on other to be reduced to no more then the strength of a human. The ruling lord cast him out to make him suffer and turned there attention back to the final battle.

With his powers imprisoned and all his strength gone Erebus fell into madness. Hiding himself away he disappeared for over a hundred years. Soon forgotton about by nearly everyone but the rulers. His existance as a Ruler wiped from near all history. His appearance changed. He emerged again. Discovering how the seals on his body worked in the time he was hidden he had near conquerored all his madness. Now he could release his power one at a time, so much as to even return to his orginal form, if but for a limited time. But he found new use and purpose in this power. History/Background: Narration for character: My name is Fyodir Belinki. As a man who was fond of the military, I joined the Red Army back when WW1 was still in place. Personality: A man committed to learn, he approaches puzzles and the unknown with zeal. Having found information on what appears to be demonic entities in the world, he approachs such potential dangers with only glib disdain.
Since he was not born knowing of devils and was just a civilian, he has not been indoctrinated with moralistic terms on the war between humans and devils, and does not consider it an imperitive to fight devils or too even aid the human faction. His morality can most elequently be said " Act such that the maxim of your action can be willed as universal law."
This means, having found truth, he feels obliged to spread it, and plans to disseminate the knowledge of devils as soon as his research is complete.

His thesis for his doctorate is a study of early christian religious texts and seeing how Egyptian mystical practice influenced the early judeo-christian movement. To this end he was investigating the Vatican library and happened to find, by chance the Ars Goetia. The book instantly bound itself to his life and granted with its pages the knowledge of devilkind.

Taking this information as a moral imperitive, Yosi left the to research the devils.

Personality: Often silent, she is one who takes her work seriously. She despises frivolousness of any kind, earning the term 'Ice Princess' from those who know her. She may also be seen to be arrogant, not really acknowledging those who want to fight alongside her until they prove their worth. Having led a tough life since very young, she learned to fight well for herself, and managed to reach rank A despite her half-demon status. Thea is often in conflicting situations over who she is, and wonders if it is right to drain humans for her powers.

Background: Having grown up being despised by both Humans and Devils as someone who is neither here or there, being an outcast of both societies have taught her how cruel the world is. Her parents, a third-class devil and human woman, were killed by Fallen Demons when she was just three, leaving her to fend for herself from that day on. Thea lives for no-one, only passing each day to hunt down more demons, like the ones that killed her parents. Because of this, she is a vigilante and is often found in unexpected places.

Personality: His personality, if you can call it that, is very... unique, even among devils. He's not exactly short tempered, but more of the he'll kill you without hesitation. Sin isn't all evil, he just can't tell right from wrong, so if he tried doing something good through his eyes, like killing an old woman so she doesn't have to suffer death at an old age, isn't necesarilly good. He can be a bit nice, in his own way, but it takes him a couple of tries to accomplish a good deed. Most of the time, he's out hunting, and killing, the two things he can do without talking. In two words, Sin is the living definition of bloodthirsty and insanity.

History/Background: Sin hadn't always been insane, or bloodthirsty, he once was an innocent devil who lived among the humans, helping them and protecting them. The only reason he wasn't like most of the others, was because he had never gone to hell; being born in the human world and growing up as a human child. Which worked, until the time around the war between their kin and the humans. They couldn't hide, so when they came from hiding, Sin and his father along with his mother, took arms against their own kin. They fought with the humans and other devils, winning, but after using their own powers, a few humans got scared, and turned on them. It didn't help when a devil recognized his father and started attacking him... he didn't get his father... he ended up returning to hell with a guest; Sin.

It wasn't like anything he ever saw, ever experienced. It wreaked of death, pain, torture, and sin... he couldn't survive, a boy like him who hadn't known what he was until a few days ago, couldn't survive in Hell. It would seem impossible, but he was only 11, and he had years upon years down here, so he did what any other person would do; survive. He fought with others, slowly losing the humanity he had been born with, and killing them off, eating their flesh for food. He fought for territory, and devoured his opponent, always challenging the stronger ones. He became known as Sin, the devourer; eating other devils entirely; soulgem and all. He slowly became stronger, developing his powers to their fullest as he found and perfected his ability. He drained the devils of their blood, sometimes through their pores, other times through more painful means for the sole purpose of hearing them scream. He'd make them writhe in pain by drawing their blood slowly out of their eyesockets, or use their blood to rip deep gashes into their own body. He'd only give one or two a quick death; a mist of blood exploding out of their powers, which sometimes caused their skin to tear, along with their muscle and sinew. He loved it, every bit of it.

Sin had become a devil feared amongst his so called kin; a monster among monsters.But his time came to an end once he heard from his latest victim that there was a way to the human world, before they establish their newest defense; the Hellgate. Sin took it, had the devil lead him to this way out, and killed him afterward. He took the portal out of hell, running and gliding through the otherside. He appeared in a lake, his clothes burned off from the travel, but was happy; he had made it back to the human world a split second before they had the Hellgate put up. But there was a cost; the last shred of humanity he had left, the last thing that was keeping his sanity intact, was gone... the madness took over and for a while, he killed all that crossed him; devil and humans alike. But he was able to control himself, with practice, establishing some false sanity that kept him from becoming public enemy number one, as well as another threat to the humans. History/Background: Vincent was born from a human male and a Fallen female devil. The human male was a D-ranked devil hunter and he fell in love in first sight with the very beautiful female Fallen Devil. The Fallen female devil needed a male that was human or a devil so she can get a family and with that, Vincent was born.

At the age of 4, he began to learn devil hunter skills from his father while his mother taught him how to master his devil powers. Many humans made fun of him at first because he had the blood of a poor devil hunter but when he was seen with his mother, most humans corrected their comments against him due to the beauty of her mother. Somehow, Vincent was very lucky with her around.

Vincent's family is currently poor and at the age of 15, he become a devil hunter to gain more money and honor his father, family, and himself. Although his father wasn't a very good devil hunter, he taught himself how to hunt devils and with trial and error, he became a known devil hunter to most people and his family, including his father, was greatfully honored and became rich as a result.

Now at the age of 19, Vincent wonders where ever he can go to get more money and honor for his family.

Race: Half-Devil... although his family tree's last infusion of Devil blood was four generations ago. In terms of physical abilities, he's human, it's in his magic that his Devil blood(weak as it is) shines through.
Devil Hunter: Kinda

Appearance: Daniel is... unassuming. He's slightly under the average height, and while he looks healthy, if you gave his biceps a feel you'd find out that's pretty soft. His thick black hair curls around his head. His brown eyes lack confidence, assertion, or anything you'd really expect from a Devil Hunter. He usually just wears a tee-shirt, jeans, boots, and a black jacket he wears like second skin or a security blanket. You would not immediately place him as a Devil Hunter.

Personality: Daniel has little confidence. When out of combat, he tends to be dominated and drowned out by more confident and loud people. In combat, he can quickly find good use of his powers, and sometimes even pull of some impressive tricks, but he's still highly tense and afraid, and will quickly run and hide if he thinks he's being attacked. The only time he's really confident is when he's talking about his magical skill... but no one ever asks him and he's not the kind that starts conversation.

History/Background: He was born into a family of Devil Hunters, and as per tradition, went out to make a name for himself. But there's one problem: He can't fight. At all. He could maybe hold off an invasion of demonic salmon flopping around uselessly like fish out of water, but that's about it. He wouldn't even have a career as a Devil Hunter at all unless some Hunter invited him in on a job out of sheer pity. In that fight, he discovered his latent Devil Trigger . Actually, he didn't change form at all, he just gained his powers: Illusion. Sight and sound and sometimes smell are his specialty. Since then, he's travelled some, mostly trying to work his way in with the local Devil Hunter group. He's only able to claim a single kill, and that's debatable, as what happened was a Marionette fell four stories off an abandoned building because he made the edge of the building look farther off than it was. You could say his actions resulted in a Devil's death, and you also could say it fell off on it's own, so that doesn't count.

Devil Hunter Rank: Varies, from D to B, depending on who he gets to help him write his contract. He doesn't have the confidence to try and market himself very well(and besides, he's more in a support role than a combat role, he's fairly useless on his own), so he usually has to have the person he'd be helping on the job help him to write a contract, thus his fluctating level, based on how other people value him.

Weapon(s) of Choice: Unless you count the rare times he's able to use his illusions to conceal a hazard that his enemies walk into, he has no weapons. Can't even punch or kick effectively.

Devil Trigger/Devil Form: The Devil blood in his family is so diluted that all the change between his normal and Devil form is a minor lightening of the color of his eyes and his ears appearing slightly more pointed. That same dilution is also probably why his powers are all non-tangible and what some have dismissed as "cantrips" or "party tricks." His illusions can be masterful(if he has the confidence to be masterful), but they have some limitations. His visuals are all intangible, the simplest way to find one is to simply poke it, your hand will slide right through. He can only cause sights and sounds within the local area(i.e. only in areas he can see, if he's on a street, he can make illusions up and down the street, but not down side allies or around corners), and he can't see what his illusions see. The limit of his illusions is only his concentration, but generally only around 3-4 detailed illusions at once, and that's while standing still, looking around to make sure each one still looks right. He can make things vanish, but it really only works from a few angles, as what he's doing is projecting what's behind an object onto the front of it. He can only cause sounds within the general area, but they're easier to pull off. Each sound comes from a specific area, and he can only do so many(like... 3) before they overlap too much to be useful.

To Vincent-Unaccepted for some reasons. One being your uzi sounds ridicously over powered. Mainly because of the bullets. Your appearance is far too undescriptive of anything. And according to your personality, he basically knows what to do in almost all situations as long as he's with someone. And for the other bit about upgrading your uzi and gaining techniques with the sword along the way seems a bit off. Your sword is also somewhat overpowered, and the term 'broadsword' is very vague without any descriptions seeing as how it's a weapon unique only to him. Sorry 'mon, but unaccepted unless you fix it.

Personality: Eccentric, curious, mischevious. She doesn't feel the awkwardness humans feel; such as worrying about what others think of her. She doesn't take devil hunting seriously at all- if there happens to be one around causing trouble and she's feeling bored, then sure- she'll take the job. Though she's also been known to watch devils run amok and not do anything whatsoever to stop it. She's sweet to people, yet tends to drive them away. Doesn't have or remember anyone close to her and enjoys occasionally stalking humans. Will sometimes even kill them (if she sees them as having a negative effect on society... or if she simply doesn't like them).

History/Background: Nasaca doesn't remember anything before being infused with this strange gem. She used to have a different name, but it is lost to her. She started life over, traveling abroad and re-learning the world. She doesn't know what type of devil she is; only that her abilities are more effective when used in stealth. She can aqquire great speed for short periods of time. This is very useful for dodging attacks and throwing punches; though using only her fists for combat isn't very effective. Nasaca can manipulate shadows to a point, using them for camoflauge or weapons (these skills require enveloping herself in the shadow and morphing it into different shapes on her legs, arms, fist, ect).

History/Background: Veronica was born in a very noble family. She was taught only to speak to her parents and her superiors and not get involved in other people problems unless it has something to do with her or anyone related to her. She doesn't have very many friends as a result and her only way of getting friends was to show her talents off in a proper way.

At the age of 6, Veronica began her training in becoming a devil hunter. What she lacked in she clearly trained hard on it until she master it. When she became 8, it was clear that she was a very good gunslinger and she began to use weapons that fired bullets. From pistols to sniper rifles, she mastered them all. When she became 10, she was commonly using a set of pistols and a sniper rifle frequently and she continued to use those weapons throughout her life. She also trained on using martial arts in case if her weapons were absent.

At 13, Veronica became a devil hunter and her results in every mission she completed were outstanding. Thanks to the support of her family and skills she learned from her training, she became a very known devil hunter and moved up quickly to an A-ranked hunter. Now at the age of 18 she is one of the best devil hunters in her class.

Personality: For the most part, he doesn’t act like a devil, he’s a kind man, honest, and always at ease. His anger has never been seen, non-existent; oddly enough, there’s always a calm and relaxed air about him.

History/Background: He was once known as Gilgamesh, also known as Bilgameṣ, who was the son of Lugalbanda and the fifth king of Uruk (Early Dynastic II, first dynasty of Uruk), ruling circa 2700 BC, according to the Sumerian king list. He became the central character in the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of the best known works of early literature, which says that his mother was Ninsun (whom some call Rimat Ninsun), a goddess. The epic hero Gilgamesh is described in the beginning of the poem as two parts god and one part man.

According to the Tummal Inscription, Gilgamesh, and eventually his son Urlugal, rebuilt the sanctuary of the goddess Ninlil, located in Tummal, a sacred quarter in her city of Nippur. Well now, this is what I've been waiting for...LOL. My type of RPG. Well thoughtout. I like it.

Personality: Cero's most distinguishing features are his maniacal laughter and psychotic grins. He is brutal, arrogant, disrespectful, and sadistic.

History/Background: Not much is known about the dark Devil. other then he enjoys fighting, and taking the lives of other Devils. This is why he hunts them himself. Fighting them, and consuming them, trying to work his way into becoming the God of Lightening.

Devil Class: Fallen, in Devil Trigger Forgotten

Weapon(s) of Choice: While in what he calls his "prefered self" Cero weilds a blade like an oversized elegant cleaver rather than a formal "katana". It has no crossguard and no proper hilt; what Cero holds is the black cloth-wrapped tang. The sword is as tall as him, 1.75 meters, and has a white blade with a black edge. The cloth wrapping on the tang seems to react to his will, changing length at a thought or twining about the blade in an impromptu sheath. When in combat, the cloth falls away when necessary, shrinking back to a manageable size. The cloth can also be used to swing the weapon like a flail and toss it at opponents for mid-range combat. Because of the blade’s wide size, it can be used as a shield from incoming attacks.

Devil Trigger: The blade shrinks the sword down to a daitō (Japanese long sword) with a black blade, crossguard, and handle, along with the liquid type aura about him. The crossguard has four prongs bent out to form the shape of the manji. The blade itself is durable. Instead of the cloth,from earlier, a short length of chain with a broken link at the end dangles from the base of the hilt.

1-What does his human form look like? According to this, he would stay in his devil form the entire time.
2.Though your weapon is quite descriptive, it sounds and appears in my mind that of Ichigo's from bleach. Word for word, appearance for appearance.
3.While it appears interesting that your Devil is of two classes. I might like to mention that would not make much sense. Because the devil rankings dictates their strength. While fallen are close-rang people and forgotten are far-range people, it would have to be one or the other. Not both.

Personality: A calm, and collect individual, Azrael doesn't really stick out. Even tho' the Teal color of his eyes give him a off-beat, and slightly uneasy reaction from other, he's all good. He's brutally honest, and painfully arrogant. Although he may appear as many things he is off top manipulative, and self-motivated. It's hard really get a sense of just what going on in that head of his.

He plays mind games too, manipulating people around like pieces of a game, and trying to seek the best outcome that suit him, even if it doesn;t appear so. Loyal to those he may use, and being the perfect house guest, his disturbing aura, and plastered Grin make him slightly uneasy in a conversation.

History/Background: Azrael barely even known his own name. He can't remember how old he is, as he stopped counting the days of his imprisonment, and doesn't really care. He knows he came to finish something he started a long time ago yet he can't remember just who it was he was out to kill. He does remember a deep voice in the back of his head. Seeming to hold much power behind it, it told him that to reach what he wanted he would have to bring revolution to both worlds, by crushing them both. So from that day Azrael became the God of Lightening, and the Emissary of Destruction.

Personality: There is no way to perfectly describe Ree in words. All around the best way to put it that she’s a very childish sadist at heart. She may act innocent but she’s far from it. Her playful nature combined her theological ideals towards the human race is almost haunting, at least towards those damned devil hunters. This girl has to play just as much as a fish has to swim. Although she is mostly portrayed as carefree, only stirring up trouble once in a while (in between her gamming sessions). She has a twisted love of retro gaming, lacking in any kind of meaningful social life. Mostly dwells in the house her and Shinku stay in, usually playing video games in the basement with her shadow beasts. Although Ree does have a tendency to having a very I’m-spoiled-so-leave-me-alone-or-die-like attitude, she doesn’t like being interrupted.

History/Background: Ree was a very odd child, more or less. Not being able to remember who her real parents were. Eventually even her memories couldn’t contain all of her memories over the years. She was living eternity alone in hell. Eventually getting bored of it, she escaped to earth, where she found out that she could get stronger by the consumption of soul gems. With each new soul gem, Ree found out that she could conjure up a new shadow beast to control and that with each new one, she could see the darkness within a persons soul more and more vividly each time.

Upon this, soon she felt no need to leave the abandoned house she had found and made into her home. Hiding herself amongst the humans as her shadow beasts attacked at night and brought back the soul gems to her. A month or so later, a strange girl entered the house, Shinku, for some reason the girl intrigued her so she allowed her to stay, just as long as she pulled her weight around the house.

Personality: Shinku is a very strange girl, which by the best of people’s abilities to be described as being bi polar. One personality being a rather quiet girl, not saying much other then to Ree. This one is a bit polite at times, if you ever get her to talk, and is well mannered. This part of her can tell right from wrong, and wishes for nothing more than to spend time with Ree and can b quite protective of her at times.

The other personality inherits the many traits of her father, a crazy, blood thirsty devil that loves nothing more than killing anything in her path, also having many animalistic traits from the devil wolf that found her long ago. She had inherited her father’s madness, though unlike him, she can keep it under control, thanks to her friend Ree.

History/Background: Shinku was born in the depths hell, far from where her father had made himself a home. Her mother was the few devil females her father had an interest in, when he wasn’t controlled by the madness. The girl had become pregnant months after, never being hunted by Shinku’s father; unlike the others who died when he found out they bore a child.

Shinku doesn’t remember much of her mother, and doesn’t know who her father is, she remembers being hidden when she was two years old, a rough man’s voice yelling at her mother, then silence and the sound of a body hitting the ground. Footsteps heading away came next, but she waited for hours before moving away from the small crevice of rock. She saw her mother on the ground, huddled in a puddle. Shinku didn’t understand, she didn’t understand why her mother was sleeping in a puddle. But after that, she only remembers crying, endless tears falling to the rocky ground, huddled alone for days before a devil wolf found her. It was rare to see devils in the forms of animals; it was also rare for one to show any kind of caring. But this wolf had, picking her up by her red cloak and the back of her shirt, and carried her away.

The wolf had taken care of her, showed her how to fight, as best as an animal could, but she learned. When she was old enough, she figured out how to call her a weapon, and chose one the shape of a saw. She began to fuse the wolf’s hunting tactics and attacks, with human forms, and came up with her own sword style, using a saw. It was when she was old enough to take care of herself, did she leave through a hellgate, her wolf guardian following her. She spent only a few weeks alone in the human world, adapting and being able to hide herself as well as her wolf companion. It was upon entering an abandoned house, did she meet her new friend, Ree, where they stuck together from then on, protecting one another and taking care of each other.

Devil Trigger/Devil Form: She too has no devil form that anyone knows of, she does, however, have a devil spawned wolf as a pet and companion.

Other: She’s been with Ree for as long as she could remember, alongside her devil wolf. Also, she has no idea that Sin is her father.

Long, black hair that appears blue-black under the light. She often appears in the school uniform she attends school in, and her dressing outside of that is often in dark-coloured, albeit flashy, clothes that often consist of miniskirts and boots. She has winter gray eyes that turn red when she is in her devil form, and a crimson mist emanates around her. She does not appear particularly badass as she really is. Thea has the mark of a lotus on her lower back, unusually big, that looks like it has been engraved in a strange shimmery ink.

Devil appearance:

Personality: Often silent, she is one who takes her work seriously. She despises frivolousness of any kind, earning the term 'Ice Princess' from those who know her. She may also be seen to be arrogant, not really acknowledging those who want to fight alongside her until they prove their worth. Having led a tough life since very young, she learned to fight well for herself, and managed to reach rank A despite her half-demon status. Thea is often in conflicting situations over who she is, and wonders if it is right to drain humans for her powers.

Background: Having grown up being despised by both Humans and Devils as someone who is neither here or there, being an outcast of both societies have taught her how cruel the world is. Her parents, a third-class devil and human woman, were killed by Fallen Demons when she was just three, leaving her to fend for herself from that day on. Thea lives for no-one, only passing each day to hunt down more demons, like the ones that killed her parents. Because of this, she is a vigilante and is often found in unexpected places.
