Are you referring to 'BAD/TOUGH' females or girls who can stand up and fight? The latter would be easily found in the Magical Girl genre...

Soifon would be one of my fave, Yuno Gasai from Mirai Nikki, she's not really a fighter but she'll fight and murder anyone to protect her love interest Yuuki and lets nothing stand in her way.I also like the yandere girls of Higurashi, though they're not really fighters they're bad *** in my opinion and will kill anyone that hurts their friends and their village.
