I've totaly forgotten about this wp that I made this summer.
Should I make the bg monotone or keep it like it is?

I think I'd prefer it as is, but sometimes i'm surprised at how much making something monotone can adjust the whole mood of a piece.

You could try making the monotone version anyway and see which one you like better.

It's cool, but I think the background image is a little grainy.

As has been mentioned...the quality is a bit poor on the images, but a nice wall none the less!

I like it, I think its all around good. But my wall papers i use are darker, i dont like alot of white, or bright colors in my wallpapers on my desk top. But I love the Rei image.

The bg image is lq because it was resized from a small pics (that time I didn't used IrfanView for resizeing).
Ok, I'll try to retouch the bg and make it monotone.

Uf, finaly I've got my comp back on line :D

Ok, here is the modified wp. I redid the extraction of rei, made the bg monotone (with some effects), also add some effects to the text, so what do u think.
Or should I keep the white text as in the 1st wp?

Keep the first. One think I would like to add.. instead of making the background monochrome, try just turning down the saturation. It won't stand out as much, and you still keep the color.

New one is an improvement IMO. Its alot more soothing to the eye. The contrast that the wind filtered top and bottom border adds is very nice as well. I dont like to really give negative feedback unless its an all around sloppy job, which this isnt, I believe its your creativity blossoming in your work and to my eyes it blossomed nicely.

well improved. I like the wind effect as well.
