I don't know how many forum-goers here are in the Central California region, or in the Fresno area to be precise... but if there is anyone, I hope you'll find this post of interest. :)
Some of you might not know, but Ani-Jam (Fresno's annual anime convention) will not be held this year. We are not sure of the reason, but for so many expecting it (like us), we'll be getting together to hold a meet and greet to hold us through the year.
So we're proud to present Anime Piknikku! [Despite the name, it is not a picnic.] This is our first meet and greet and hopefully we'll have it again next year. Anyone interested in a cosplay / anime event? We hope that you can all come and enjoy yourselves. Here's some details...

10 AM - 6 PM

Woodward Park (7775 Friant Road, Fresno, CA, 93720)

The Price:
$5 park admission (sorry, but we don't have any control over that fee)
No event fee, but in case you see something you'd like to buy, you might want to bring money :P
There will be snacks, music, contests, all the usual.
There's also a few common rules to abide by... no adult items including explicit art, no real weapons unless you're a cosplay dealer and it's in a case, and please respect each other (basic treat others how you want to be treated, unless you're a masochist xD).
But overall, we're just aiming to have some fun. We hope you'll join us. :cool:

If you're interested in helping... then there's two ways...
1. Invite everyone you've ever met in your entire life to this!!!! Or at least a friend or two.
2. Are you a frequent dealer at cosplay expos? Well then you're more than welcome to add in, just contact the hosts. The contact info is in the link above.
