Aion - Thoughts?

I've preordered Aion. I played the Beta last weekend and I was amazed.
It's beautiful to start.
The controls as well as the Hud were very easy to use (especially as I came from 3years of WoW & quit lol)
Interesting Story.
Nice location system for questing.
Reactive Chains that appear during combat.
Lots more, just not sure what to put right now.

I just wanted to get opinions from others though, so if you've played it please post. If you're just interested to hear more check back as others post :ninja:

It was levels 1-20. I wasn't very impressed. Standard low-level grind. It looks pretty though...I guess. Caters to the tastes of ******s surely.

Honestly, there was nothing to be amazed about, unless someone managed to reach level 50 in those two days and tell us what end-game is like.


I'm also strongly hating the whole non-customizable UI deal. Very strongly.

Aion, like World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, and other games of its yoke, is marketed at the more hardcore gaming crowd, and it takes patience to get into. I played on the Chinese server and was stunned by the graphics and ambiance. The attention to detail is shocking--you will see dust floating through beams of light. Character customization is incredibly detailed at the onset of the game, but the lack of armor variation (didn't get to end-game sets though) sort of took that down a notch. The early grind separates the mice from the men. I'll definitely give the English version a try. I feel it's also fair to mention that the game can run on even a minimal system despite the seemingly incredulous horsepower you'd think your computer would need to run the game. Viva la Asmodians! :angry1:

Just started on the Closed Aion Beta yesterday. I must admit I wasn't that omg'ish impressed... Though now that I've played it for some time, I kinda like it more and more... The only thing that is annoying now is that I can't get past level 10 xD.... The quests in Aion are more ''difficult'' (takes longer) than in WoW which I think is good.
And the Character Creation is nothing less than amazing :D
The graphic are also very very good :P
