In Need Of Help

Okok... i've been working on this wallpaper for a couple days now. I started cutting the picture out and then put it on the wall, everything was dandy.
But then I had a mental block and didn't hav a clue of what to put on the background. Ive tried many things, changed it a billion times but I just can't get the look I want (I don't even know what that look is)

And I was hoping you guys could help me out a little.... any ideas?

[And I know I have to do something about the plain black background... I had lots of things there once, but then it just started looking crowded and crazy...]

looks fine the way it is. maybe you could lower her glow a bit though.

i dont like the black background ... its not fiting with the blue i think

The glow around the tech stuff should get canned, it just doesn't fit. The glow on the character should be reduced to about 2 or 3 pixels. The black background could be turned a shade of blue to match the blue on the character, maybe a blue gradient.

for the bg, you should use the color of the eye of the chara(blue and a light hue of water-green), a gradient of blue,and maybe you can add a slight white grill, like a waving one..

Thanx for the help... the wallpaper is starting to look better now

I got rid of the black and added a bluey/purpley/pinky gradient.... im thinking of doing something to the gradient but im not sure yet
I Got rid of the ugly thick glow from the person and the bar thingy... and just made a small one around the person
Umm... i think i changed the colour of the bar, but i forget

2nd version is much better! The only thing that bothers me (other than alot of negative space) is she's floating...maybe add a shadow to plant her down.

I tried to fill up the space by putting stuff there... (good explanation <_< )
And i didn&#39;t know how to put a shadow on the character with a glow there... It looked funny to me ~~ So I took the glow off, and put a shadow there instead

I made one more change... I put the glow back in the picture and got rid of the shadow

your style is very similar to mine (except you dont use nearly as many boxes as me ;) ). Great to see another one that uses cutesy pics&#33; Now... if only someone else will do yaoi... muhahaha&#33;

Anyway, to the wallpaper&#33; : the colors are great, the text box is great, the monotone images are great, and the stars are fun. How about giving the stars more depth? Like, adding other colors, a glow, etc.
