Your First Manga

So, what was it? How well did you do at following the story first time through? did you enjoy your first Manga?

My first Manga was Trinity Blood.
In all honesty I did a terrible time following the story at first, I was very confused about which panels to read first, along with what bubble letters to read as well.
I honestly super enjoy this Manga! to my surprise after reading it in whole the first time around I discovered on the back a guide on how to read it XD oh well :) I am reading through it again and it has become even more interesting than when I last read it :)

mine was Hell Girl, or Jigoku Shoujo for those remain loyal to the real name, not teh stupid american adaptation... god i hate it when they do that, stuff like "Believe it!" happens and ruins everything >.<

anyway, i really liked it and it got me hooked on manga, that was about October, and now i own 42 volumes of manga ^_^

When I was a kid, I saw Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer on SciFi. I loved that movie and I still do. I was at the book store, and found UY manga, so I bought some. That's still one of my favorites, but I don't read manga anymore.

SciFi also introduced me to Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, and Akira. I think I was 13.

Long story actually...
I had always SEEN manga in bookstores before
high school but I never read them (I tried...and was
painfully confused). On my first day of freshman year
I was surprised to see them in the library of my school.
I picked up the first one I saw and read it and instantly
fell in love with it. It was Marmalade Boy. Haha, I read
it now and don't think much of it. Yeah... "blah to you
and your lengthy life stories" X_x lol

Technically, the first manga I ever read was Pokemon v1 when I was a little kid, but at the time I had no idea what manga or anime was. I had seen the movie Kiki's Delivery Service, which was probably my first anime, followed by Sailor Moon, but my first manga where I knew it was a manga was +Anima v1.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon (the original kodansha volumes.) To this day, I still haven't read or collected all the volumes.

I got the english-translated mixxine magazine much later.
