Serious Mario Games?

Should Nintendo make serious or mature-rated Mario games?

Making another mario game might push Luigi off the edge.

Nintendo should make a game called "Luigi's trip to the Psychiatric Hospital."

You see, Luigi just cannot stand being in his much more popular brother's spotlight any longer. Mario is always the popular one, the one who always saves the princess, the one who always has his name on everything, the one who takes all the credit for saving the mushroom kingdom and all the inhabitants (and because Luigi's Mansion had a vacuum as his main weapon, and it's ironically descriptive of how good the game is.)

Mario has had tons of games specifically named after him, and all luigi gets are spin-offs!

but someone has already made something similar: Luigi's Revenge Interactive Game (http://www.y8.com/games/Luigis_Revenge_Interactive)

I don't think that would be serious though. That would be hillarious.

Yes. It should be survival horror. Mario is an overweight drug addict/plumber who discovers a green tube in his bathroom that transports him to the Mushroom Kingdom, a horrible Lovecraftian place where Reptile Kings rule from non-Euclidean palaces. Mario is incessantly haunted by the ghost of his younger brother Luigi who died in car crash with an inebriated Mario at the wheel. Mario finds that one of the Dinosaur Kings has taken a women hostage and quickly discovers that it is a Princess Peach, a hooker and Mario's former fiancé who left him after he started getting violent and beating her. Mario must travel through this strange land with only his wits and his handgun named "Fire Flower" to guide him in hopes of one day saving Princess Peach from Bowser the Dinosaur King. He is fought at every turn by Horrible flying turtles, ghosts, mobile mushroom headed monsters, sentient cannon shells, man eating plants, and worst of all Wario, the embodiment of all of Mario's guilt and dark desires brought to life.

I think it would be interesting to say the least but Mario has always been a kids story and to make him into a bad acting character like they did with conker would not be a very good idea because of the fact to many young kids like him the way he is

Older gamers usually play more mature games, if that's what they want. The Super Mario bros. line of games isn't really a super-mature franchise. Nintendo wouldn't make an "adult" super mario bros. because it simply would not fit in, and to say the least, it would be weird.

I like Luigi more because he's smarter and more resourceful. And he can outpower Mario easily.
