Since we're all talking about Final Fantasy Ten in Miscellaneous, I thought I'd start a topic for it.

Just a random topic, talk about anything you want about the game, from asking for help, the upcoming game, the characters, Tidus' lisp...

I don't like the game play in FFX...perhaps it is just me...but it is tooooooo much an interactive story than a game.

Tidus was annoying. That's why it was funny at the end when Yuna was trying to hug him and... I don't know, I laughed so hard at that ending. Call me cruel. Go on. That's the most I can say without spoiling it though... :(

I loved the sphere grid. The materia was cool and all, but the sphere grid was better. The rest of the gameplay of FFX wasn&#39;t so wonderful though..

So who here is good at blitzball? haha

i hated the sphere grid. it was wayyyyy complex for me. i wouldn&#39;t be able to handle mastering the grid having it take 420 hours. that&#39;s how long my friend joey took to master it. all summer.

I&#39;m good at blitzball. Even though I hate it.
FFX was good, not better than 7 and 9 in my opinion, but it was good.
Tidus was annoying though, and so was Wakka

I don&#39;t know why you&#39;d try to MASTER the whole thing. The best part was how you could pick and choose what your characters got. They were all customizable and all.

I tried to master it too. I like mastering FF games, especially FFX. But I lost interest in it, so I didn&#39;t do it.

You can master FFVI. You can master FFIV. Mastering FFX would take forever, and I don&#39;t think Square ever intended that. The only thing worse would be trying to somehow "master" FFVII&#39;s materia system.

mastering the materia system is simple actually. i didn&#39;t even need gameshark. once the materia you master gets reborn, throw it away. master materia with 3 of your characters special materia weapons. let&#39;s say cloud&#39;s apocolypse. that has a 3x AP materia upgrade. and fight movers and the magic pots in the northern cave. they give you a lot of ap.

trust me. mastering the materia system is fun and easy.

And I&#39;ve completed Rikku&#39;s sphere grid, and Yuuna&#39;s pretty much there, she just has a few spaces. =D

I like completing the WHOLE of a video game.

My team was always Auron, Rikku and Yuuna.

But forawhile, I used someone else instead of Auron, I can&#39;t remember who.

I do say at the end of the game, Lulu, Wakka, and Kimarhi were absolutely useless.

kind of because i had their best weapons

auron - masamune
tidus - caladbolg
yuna - nirvana

here are the other celestial weapons for the other characters.

wakka - world champion
lulu - onion knight
kimahri - spirit lance
rikku - godhand

The Onion knight is damn hard.

I only have Rikku, Auron, and Yuuna&#39;s ulitmate weapon.

Which is really funny, because I forgot I had Auron&#39;s ultimate weapon, and I went through the last battle not knowing I had it.

I&#39;m thinking about starting a new game too, and working on everything before I get to the calm lands. Like, the statuses and stuff. Then I can spend tons of time in the battle arena.

Final Fantasy VII is the best. so is Final Fantasy VIII. Final Fantasy got me in to anime. some say game are bad F**K THEM. ;) :blink: :lol:

i know but i like what i like. Final Fantasy X Is a D*mn good game. to me armored core 2 is a better but i don&#39;t want to piss anyone off.



i like Final Fantasy X i have a lot of it&#39;s wallpapers. this is my Favorite. :mellow:

Everything is the same. The final batte is the same. They just added some sidequests. They added the Dark Aeons, who are really strong. They usually do 99,999 damage, unless your defense is at 255. The only way to beat them is to master the statuses of at least 3 characters and get their celestial weapons. But even then, you can&#39;t beat all of them. They also added Penance. Penance is the strongest enemy in the game. He has 12,000,000 HP. He appears as a new destination on the destination list of your airship after you beat every dark aeon. But , you have to beat Dark Yojimbo 3 times, because he appears 3 times, in 3 different places.
I don&#39;t remember if they added anything else except these

FF10? I love the Sphere grid system. It was as good as the materia. Also you could learn anyone&#39;s special attibutes. Unlike FF8 where you had to sit and draw magic for 20 hrs..

It&#39;s taking me sooo long to beat FFX... lol My goal right now is to beat it before I hit the one-year point. I like how you can choose what strengths you want with the sphere grid.

I&#39;m uber excited for X-2, too. I already have it on reserve, and I am SO thrilled that they bumped the release date up again. I can&#39;t wait for that game. I need to get a PS2, though... hm... ^^;

yeah funny that you mention that. I&#39;m almost at the one year mark with FF10. Thats only beacause im so damn busy sometimes. Im at the end sequence though. also something else funny is that, out of the 5 ps2 games i own, i havent beat any one of them yet. Usually i would beat a decent Rpg in about 2-2 1/2 weeks.

Also Im really waiting to play FF11, I hope that will be a good one.

*curses his PS2* Picked up Double Dash and X-2 yesterday. Then I realzied my PS2 was broken :( Stupid DRE&#39;s. On the bright side, Sony&#39;s going to fix/replace my PS2 for free, even though I got it the first day the PS2 came out in the US. So, I&#39;m looking at the box... :( I haven&#39;t even shipped my PS2 off yet...

1000 words sounds really good in English though. It sounds like another song though, I can&#39;t quite put my finger on it. Especially the begining...

Been playing FF11 for the past few days. Really fun game. O_o it took 2-3 hours to install-register the game on DSL... just a warning if you&#39;re on 56k.

i got ten two the other day and i must say i do love it alot. it&#39;s sorta cheesy cause they make it out to be a like a Charlie&#39;s Angels knock off, but i think that&#39;s what makes it funnier.

FFX was a good game, simple as that. Even though it isn&#39;t as great as the rest in the series, it still is better than a lot of stuff out for the Ps2. And if you want to kill strong monsters, do it at that monster ranch place. You capture the monsters, they mix &#39;em all up, and they get pretty damn strong.

FFXII info has been realized...and it looks...colorful.

What do you guys think of the game? If you even got it. I just bought it 2 days ago, and already half way through it, because I been playing non-stop. It&#39;s greeeeaaaat. And very addicting, it keeps you guessing what happens next.

The beginning starts out a little slow and boring.. But around Chapter 2 is when everything gets good. Because...

You can&#39;t judge a book by its cover. It&#39;s a must play game. Rent it, buy it, whatever. As long as you play it. And I gaurentee if you rent it, and play it enough, you&#39;ll get into it. If you&#39;re a true Square fan. <3

So I was playing FFX^2 at Cody&#39;s house, and it kicks.

Someone said that Yunie&#39;s boobs were bigger, and they look smaller dude..
And and...&#33;

I won&#39;t spoil it for anyone, but the gun thing is damn nifty, so are the special dress spheres.

And scoring items. It makes me giggle.

They turned it into such a girls game, but that&#39;s okay.

It&#39;s cool how you can make main decisions too. Like there&#39;s this one part, you have to choose one or another, and it effects the endings.

I think there were four endings. DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANNA KNOW THE ENDINGS.

OHHHHH Getting it on Friday I can barely contain myself. I&#39;ve had to feed my FFX-2 hunger with watching the trailer FMV in the Saga Frontier Unlimited game. I&#39;ve seen the reviews, and looked at dozens of screenshots. I really enjoyed FFX, so playing this game will be a blast. While we&#39;re on the topic of FF, I read something about the FF7 DVD being packaged with the FF7 remake for the PS2. I know there&#39;s a topic in the forum about FF7:Advent Children already, but might as well hit two topics with one post. If this is true, very awesome, and I&#39;m looking forward to it when 2005 rolls around. I&#39;m still estatic about FFX-2 though, it&#39;s called the DOA:Xtreme Beachvolleyball for RPG&#39;ers, I don&#39;t know why, but numerous people coined that term to me. So while we&#39;re enjoying FFX-2 stateside, over in Japan they already have the directors cut of FFX-2 which includes an alternate ending an new classes....phoey&#33;

I sound like a little school boy getting ready to go home and watch tv, so I&#39;ll stop right here, later&#33;

materia system ruules i loved the idea of condensed enrergy and stuff really really good imagination.
shere grid&#39;s reallyu cool too bu takes too much time to fill the damn thing. i mean my friends spent 213 hours to fill the damn thing and to get all the ultimate weapons.
anyway about ff 10-2, in the beginning i found it to be too corny i mean y.r.p come onn it&#39;s like they are charlie&#39;s angels or something with yuna&#39;s i&#39;ll sing you to death abilities. but then i got a little better didn&#39;t play much of it yet, hope it&#39;ll get better

I gots Final Fantasy X-2 for christmas... BUT i cant play it cause my PS2 is broke.. my sister blew it up.. - -;

BUT&#33;&#33;&#33; we re getting it fixed ^^

Rikku is the BEST&#33;&#33;&#33; AND no kiling Tidus is is the Awesomest ^.^

tidus was a &#39;dream&#39; created by the fayth, therefor, he never actually existed, he was always a &#39;dream&#39;, so i think he never actually died, but went back into the &#39;dream&#39;

Hey everyone ^_^ im new here ...
Your conversations seemed a bit more interesting than my last fourm i joined &#33;&#33;
Well ..I really enjoyed ff10-2 im on my third game+ trying to get 100% completion im only 99% i cant rememebr what i missed i sware i did everything its driving me crazy. I beat the 100 floor dungon raised and got the master schocobo i have the guide did everything i had to .. Maybe a game glitch idk :/ ..... Its just really sad i dont want to play it 88908890540894809345 times before i get the perfect ending ..Anyone else having trouble getting it. The level 100 dungon was soooooooo hard but i did beat it and im NOT doing it again. So now i just need to do everything else and hopefully come up with 1 more competion %. Well hope to get to know you all better

I did pick the youth league in both games 0_O i have no clue i should have gotten the perfect ending i followed all the requirments needed ..... :/

edit- Colormebloodred, i think you have to pick New Yevon in one of the games to get 100%, but i&#39;m not sure

Yeah, Kimahri was pretty awesome. Too bad he can&#39;t be a playable character in FFX-2.... :(

you have to side with new yevon, then in chapter 3 you have to do all the monkey stuff, then talk to the person, that ex-summon in zanderken, then go to beville and go to the place where you see a cut-scene, then you&#39;ll get a fee mission complete, and .2% completion, i think it&#39;s .2%, heh
my favorite was.. hmm... hard to decide, i didn&#39;t really like the characters in FFX, or x-2, heh wakka&#39;s cool though =)

Hey, if you&#39;re going by the stratagy guide, they left a part out of it, that I completed that gives you 1% of completion points. Did you push "o" when Yuna gets thrown into the Farplane by Ixion? With her first meeting with Shuin? ^_^;; After that, when you&#39;re able to just run around doing nothing, keep pushing "o".

If you did, then heh.. Don&#39;t know what to tell you.

UGH.. I hate the 100 level thing too.. And it&#39;s 101 levels actually. You talking about the east block in Bevelle? Ugh.. In the temple, right? Where Pacce and his friends found it, right?

um.. it&#39;s &#39;x&#39; for me, you should hear a whistle, and also, you only need to get to lvl 20 and get the sphere then you don&#39;t have to stay in bevelle, and also, did you sleep in every chapter? you have to take a nap in the celcuis every chapter, then you sleep again in the 5th chapter and you should hear brother talking, heh that&#39;s a bit of %
