Today is Fat Tuesday which means tomorrow is the start of Lent. Is anyone giving up anything? If so, what?


I will give up buying anything Hello Kitty stuff for a week and I won't wear any Hello Kitty ears until Lent is over.

I haven't posted in so long, but this thread caught my eye.

Giving up something is difficult and seeing how Lent begins tomorrow I should give this a try. The one thing I should give up probably shouldn't be posted on this website. However, I'm going to go with giving up wasting money on unnecessary things. Like the cute pillow and doll I saw the other day. Or that expansion deck for a card game. I need to be more frugal or else I can't afford rent. :/

Now days the church doesn't expect you to stop eating. You give up eating meat on Fridays and you are supposed to give up something else that is important to you. Hello Kitty is not trivial to me. If you knew me you would understand.

I've never followed the 'give up something importar for x period of time' thing, and I always forget about the no eating meat on fridays.
