As fires rage across Victoria, Australia families are forced to flee from their houses. If you were in the same position and were forced to evacuate your home, what would you save?

Living in the parts of Victoria, i've already thought about this :3
-Laptop.
-Kitty.
-Plushies.
-Phone.
-Any memorable stuff.
-Photos and albums.
-Chargers.
-DS's/Wii.
Anything I can get, really..

I would definately save:
~My kitty
~iPod
~Giraffe and Deidara plushies
~My cello
~Phone
~My wallet
~My blanket
Though, it would be pretty tricky carrying all that to safety.

As much as possible I would save as many as I can. But in case I can't. I'll try to save:

My laptop
All my stuff toys
All my drawings and artworks
My anime dvds, anime mangas/fav books, anime items, anime costumes,
All my rubber shoes
My favorite leather shoes,
My precious cellphone,
My old mp3.

I think I'd really go crazy if I lose one or two of those. T-T

I wouldn't save anything. Then again, I wouldn't leave. I would want to be with all of my belongings to the very end. I would die of smoke inhalation before I burned, so...

Phone

Bits and bobs of precious things.

Everyone said they'd save a lot of stuff, but i don't know how able you'd be to do that when you need to hurry up to get out of there fast o_o
I'd take my money, laptop, guitar and the picture with me and my bf. Oh yes...and my original catalog with Aya Kato's digital drawings :) That's pretty much unique. Can't afford losing it o.O

My library. Perhaps not the easiest to transport, but my books are essential. If I have time, my computer. It's secondary priority because it's easy to prove to my insurance company, it's harder to claim an undocumented bookcase full of physics books and whatnot, and they're worth A LOT. I mostly read books in the brick format that are the very least 100 bucks (oftentimes more). And I have so many of them my bookshelf is buckling.

My books. They're my only possessions that could conceivably be of any value.

- Yuu-chan (my pc)
- ALL my books (manga included)
- ALL my shoes
- All my stuffed animals
- All my CDs and DVDs
- My entire wardrobe
- My bed
- My jewelry

Realistically:

- My mp3 player
- My wallet
- Nagi Dai
- My notebooks
- The letters that he gave me
- My passport
- My Vivienne Westwood necklace and earings

And if I'm not wearing them at the time, my glasses.

I have too much Hello Kitty stuff to save it all and I could never choose between any of them. So, after I threw my cat outside and woke up all the people, I would just burn along side my HK plushies and accessories.

This would be really hard, I'm going to say I could pack away as much as what fits in my car, which would be: Video games/systems, books, TV and computer, clothes, and I could at least fit one tote full of my collectable things, (stationary, hello kitty stuff or whatever.)

If I could fit other things I would pack away my pots/pans and dishes. I'd lose a lot of stuff....

If it's 'the fire will spread and affect this area in 5 minutes or less' evacuation:
- Important documents
- Laptop
- Backpack with the school books and notebooks that are inside.

Luckily, my father and me are organized people, so with this things it's just grab and go situation.

But, in the chance of being 'we still have 10-20 minutes before the fire gets here' evacuation, I would:
- Change my clothes to something comfortable: jeans, t-shirt and running shoes (In the off chance I'm not wearing that already).
- Life before: documents, laptop, and all of my school books/notebooks (hey, I might've lost my house and most of my things, but eventually I would need to go back to school).
- Since I have some time, I would reunite as much of my other books as I can. And maybe a few change of clothes and underwear.

This proves how much our society depends on technology.

Only 5 people didn't say they would save something electronic EVERYONE else did.. that's kind of depressing.

Besides my pets, I would save the urn with my grandfather's ashes, my photo albums and my birth certificate. Everything else is replaceable. I'm actually surprised that no one has really said photo albums, it just seems to be a list of replaceable things.

I would take my teddies (already packed in boxes under my bed), all the tickets from memorable trips that are on my wardrobe and photos.

Then I'd make a list of everything else I have so insurance can cover the rest.

I'd take the massive folder with various legal documents and anything else would be a bonus. I'd rather get a nice lead on the flames than taking my pc.
