Well? It was a great book! I loved the movie and I'm trying to find the tv series. Opinions on it?

ah hem quote on the "does anyone remember?" The Outsiders is a book made in the late 60s, a movie made in the early 80s, and a show made in the early 90s

One of the best books I've ever read. The movie really help clear some things up that were confusing in the book. Both are equaly entertaining.

I vaguely remember The Outsiders from many moons ago. Gang brawlin', savin' people from fires, bleachin' your hair, dyin' face down with a broken back, stayin' gold. Good stuff.

I read the book in 8th grade & all I can say is gangs are not ambiguous guys that cry. It wasn't a properly portrayed gang. Alright book, I just expected 'El Guido' & ripping of fingers involved.

Yes.
Great book actually; I guess it was good enough for me to even remember it now.

I do remember enjoying both the movie and the book. I can't remember it too well though. Eighth grade was five years ago.

I'm guessing your class is reading it? I actually never got to read it in school (although I think I have a copy), since I came to the school just after the class finished reading it. I did see the movie though. Maybe I'll read it.

It was a novel we had to read in school in grade 7 but our teach read it to us everyday. I am not a fan of it but the story is good and all just not my kind of book and I heard the movie was good for a book turned into movie.

Of course it was a good movie. Patrick Swayze and Tom Cruise in one movie? That's too much awesomeness.

Dallas was always my favourite.

But yes, good book. I haven't thought of it in so long until I read this topic, now I am interested to pick up another copy.
