I like ambient city noises from the past. Like the '60s and '70s. They are so soothing.

Falling rain is definatly a favourite sound. Past that its harder to tell. A thunderstorm in the distance can be fun to hear.
City sounds don't tend to sooth me since I hate being in urban environments - though on films and such they can work well.

The sound that guitar makes in Radiohead - Creep. You'd know the sound if you heard it. I'm completely in agreement with some old VH1 interview I saw featuring Flea talking about how awesome that sound is. I mean it's so good I want to smoke a cigarette after hearing it, and I don't smoke.
