The man's covered from head to to in scars and burns, and missing his right eye and most of his left arm. Doesn't stop him from being one hell of an epic hero, though.

'SCUSE ME?! I think he's very attractive! I mean, the lack of arm and the horrific scarring he's getting from all the EPIC BATTLES isn't making him prettier, and indeed he's not the sort of character CLAMP would draw, but he's not ugly!

IMHO, all of the Berserk heroes are good-looking. Oddly enough, the evilest of them all is easily the most beautiful cast member in the entire series. Hah!

The cars in the series however are beautiful. It's like they spent the whole budget on them and then realized they should probably put some people in there too.

But Guts skin is practically one giant scar since he put on the Berserker armor. You could draw some parallels with burn victims there.

And I wouldn't say Griffith is "beautiful" so much as hyper-feminine. Have you seen Miura's watercolors of him?
