Depends. How big is the PSP? If it's a few centimeters smaller yes. My DS is only playable because it's not super huge and the stylus can get from one place to another quickly.

It also depends on the games. I don't think a first person shooter would be fun if you touch your opponent to shot at them. The touch feature is only good if you have puzzle games, cause otherwise it's pretty useless.

Only if they added a second analog nub and the touch screen was like an ipod touch/iphone's.

If Sony were to re-release the PlayStation Portable console, just with added features, including a touch-screen, then I would save my money and stay with what I have now, a regular PSP.

I am not even that much of a big fan of touch-screen things, nor am I really interested in Wi-Fi projects for that matter.

Hm. I most likely would not buy it, and that's saying something. I mean sometimes I get tired of the touch feature on the DS... and it seems to fit more for the DS than the PSP. Also like what Sigma SD said, shooting at someone by using that touch screen wouldn't be all that fun, it's more of along the lines of what type of games the DS offers. Which mostly is non-action type stuff.

No, touch screen is stupid if you don't want to play minigames, and PSP is not a machine filled with minigames.

Maybe for internet using, but the psp isn't really that built for internet browsing.
Yeah I know, they put in multi-media functions but it's not that sophisticated to be used. Touch-screen uses....there aren't alot to do w/ the psp, you just button mash it till the X or Square button is buried.

Touch-screens for minigames is fun but that would kinda steal the DS's idea.
So maybe not.

I would consider it if.....they made the screen less resistant to fingerprints and dust. The PSP is a magnet for those types of things.

However, she could not bring herself to confess her love to her classmate Karasumaru. She discovers that Karasumaru will transfer out next year and, with the help of her friends and her little sister Yakumo, tries to confess her love. Tenma also uses unorthodox methods such as disguising herself as a nurse or shooting arrows with a love letter attached to express her feelings for him. On the other hand, Harima Kenji, a delinquent, has feelings for Tenma. Unfortunately, Tenma's preoccupation with Karasumara ensures that she doesn't notice Harima's affection, much to Harima's dismay. To make matters worse, one day, he sees Tenma and Karasumaru having lunch together. This causes him to skip school and embark on a journey of enlightenment. Actually, touch screen aiming (for FPSs) plays pretty well on the DS. Metroid Prime: Hunters, I believe made it work nicely.

Why would the PSP need a touch screen?

For the people who think Sony needs to rip off Nintendo's worst ideas to be "interesting". I'd prefer a Sony PSP Power Glove myself.

Which means lawsuits. But then again. Anyways touch-screen PSP can pretty much defeat the purpose of the PSP in my opinion.
