I know most people sya that there favorite video games are recent and the most visually stunning... but you know I have to go with stuff like tetris ... but if you have to have the anime like videa game as your favorite... got's to go with zelda. For the first nintendo... I hate the new ones.

I like the first one they made that was new, not Majora's mask.

I loved the Dragon Warrior game, and Marble Madness.. Resident Evil 2.... FFX, FF8, FFT, Wild Arms 2, uuhhh.... hmm...

I unno. My dad has all my other games.

OH!!!!!!!!

That damn Yoshi's Safari!

I LOVE THAT GAME!

Zelda for NES. best game EVER.

I love CC:RA2, Alpha Centauri, Kirby Super Star, Ico, Worms World Party, and FF6.

All of them could vie for the title of BEST GAME EVER.

I could extol the virtues of any of those games fluently.... But I'm not gonna. Instead I'll just say: If you don't like these games, you have NO TASTE.

I haven't played many games.. but.. my favorites are..

Suikoden 1-4, Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana(sux, but I still like it), something that I forgot, but it was really cool-ish, and, and Chrono X.. something like that.. you got to choose from a variety of people with diffrent storylines, and their stories all kind of rolled together. AAAannnd.. I wanna play Wildarms, and a bunch more anime-ish rpg's for the PS.. ;_; But, I'm to stupid to find them..

YOu know what is sad I always seem to rank the older games best.. You know why I think that is? because the game had to have a little more flavor to it to keep our interest because the graphics sucked...

and there were only 2 buttons

Com on people you havent mentioned the best game ever. You havent lived untill you have had a 3 hour duck hunt tournament. I mean really that game was for the origional nintendo and think about how advanced it was for it's time. Plus if you have extention cords for your controllers you can play fromabout 20 feet away. When you can get that good it can't be beat.

It's too bad you extremely dislike all the new Zelda games. The only one that wasn't any good after the first one, was Zelda II. And Majora's Mask... Just didn't fit at all. I think it shouldn't have been a Zelda game. But aside from that, I still enjoyed the game.

I actually liked Zelda 2 more then Zelda 1.

I extremely disliked Zelda 1’s “Mazes.” Unless you found someone who knew the exact directions IRL, You’d be stuck, going random directions for potentially HOURS. Sadistic Japanese programmers...

Where as Zelda 2 was a Side Scroller (sp?) with RPG Elements. And that's fine with me...

(I know A LOT of people won’t agree with me on this one...)

they might not be the best but they rocked to me: Chrono Cross, Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy..(insert #), Wild Arms 2, Grandia( insert title), Xenogears or Xenosage which ever, and theres some others in there i dont remeber them all( im a hardcore gamer) anyone like FPS's or strategies?

Kensora Nirvasu
10-23-2003, 10:33 PM
Aww, I really want to by the Xeno games, and Chrono games. They all look so sexeh, but I never have time to buy them. I'm such a nerd. ;.;

I love strategic games, but I think the Zelda games were a dissapointment. Both 1, and 2 were bad in my opinion. Very annoying mazes, and very annoying tasks. Bah. O_o;

I agree. If you ask me, Zelda 1 was annoying. It was just a huge maze with confusing puzzles. After I played part two, i realized that i loved rpgs. Xenogears is another great game. Also MGS.

I don't Hate the Zelda series, I just Hate Zelda 1's Repeating Screen Mazes. They were uninventive, pointless, and made no sense. The game had a map, but they compress THAT many screens into that one square? It was stupid and sadistic. They also did it in Links Awakening, but that at least made sense because it was in a dungeon-type-place, and they gave the sequence in the library...

I'd like to see you go back in time and create a better game with the resourses they had then.

They did the best they could, and the result was a breakthrough game.

Any Dance Dance Revolution. Especially DDR 4th Mix. Oh yeah.

I like Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, and Kingdom Hearts..just because they give me a comforting kind of summer feeling, because that's when I generally get a chance to play video games..

Final Fantasy 7 is the best game I've ever played. The characters and the storyline were great, and it had fun minigames. I also love Kingdom Hearts and Chrono Cross, but no other game comes close to FF7.

Coming in at a close second is General Chaos for the Genesis. You haven't lived untill you have played this game with your best friend for 10 hours straight.

And my all time favorite game...Kung Fu for the NES
I still have yet to beat this game, and its been how long? 16 years? maybe more...

All the new games are ok, but history, time, and overall nostalgia wins over all!!

one game that i'd never forget is Doom II by ID software.
Since now i sometimes play them.

Hmmm I have too many favourite games, its actually quite hard to choose one.

My favourite Doujin Game (Fan made game) is easily Eternal Fighter Zero. There is just something apealing on having a cute girl like Saiyuri wielding a magical girl wand and performing a Rugal style god press.
http://mugenguild.free.fr/efz_images/sayuri_anim.gif

My favourite recent game has to be Sakura Taisen 3, it completely revamped the series for the 128 bit generation, upgrading the graphics and gameplay. And introducing a new cast of characters to an already awsome series.

And as for the best game of all time hmm...either Super Metroid or System Shock 2.

And Doom II should really be called Doom: The Mission Pack

Another great game, was Battletoads for the NES. That game had about 100 levels, each somewhat different from the other, I could pop in that game right now and get hooked all over again.

It's pretty damn hard to say which is THE best video game ever but one that comes to mind is Final Fantasy 7.....(can't wait for Final 7 part two).
And then there's the classic games that changed my life....games like Little Nemo the dream master (not the greatest game but to me it means alot....makes me nostalgic of better happier days).
Also games like Mario Bros. part 1....and and....Brain Overload!! Can't think....Damn you topic Damn YOU!!!

spider-man-old
11-03-2003, 02:58 PM
gotta also go with mario 3.... as well as battle toads, ninja trutles, and there was this robot game for genesis... I can't remem the name for the life of tough, and combat cras can't forget about good old combat cars.

Heh, a fun game for me was Royal Rumble for SNES. First wrestling game that actually had good wrestling. There's something about hitting the referee that's so fun, it's rare to see a wrestling game with a ACTUAL referee(not some special guest wrestler referee). Chrono Trigger was the first RPG that I truly love, but what got me into RPG's hardcore was Mario RPG. Mario RPG was so simple, but when you're nine and playing an RPG, Mario RPG is quite challenging, well at least for me.

Starcraft is a great RTS game, but I enjoy WC3 much more, even though SC is what got me into the whole RTS scene.

Mario Bros. 3 was fun, and the Ninja Turtles and Simpsons arcade machines totally ate my quarters during my youthfull days as a little nerd.

Any Megaman from the NES holds a place dear to my heart. I also can't believe someone other than me played General Chaos, THAT GAME ROCKS, if have a Genesis BUY THIS GAME, me and my cousin played this game so much when we were kids, oh man it's awesome.

Harvest Moon for SNES was a pretty fun simulation, I haven't thought of farming the same way again.

Thousand Arms is a fun little game and I think the only US Release of something that's remotely close to a dating Sim. You party is pretty much consisted of 2 guys and 4 girls. As the main character, you have to date(yes date) the girls in order for them to grow closer to you. Don't worry no hentai here if that's what you're thinking, you need the girls affection in order to forge better weapons(weird but try it). It's a fun little game, more dialogue than DOA: Beach Volleyball, and the jokes/animations are pretty funny. If you're lonely then try it lol(I'm such a loser....)

FF8 was coolio, 7's a classic, 3's legend though. FF1 and 2 confused me, especially 2's lvling up system(You can abuse it though heh).

Alright I think that's all I could think of, so in conclusion...Best Game ever would have to be....

Dig Dug

(didn't see that one coming huh?)

battletoads, ninja turtles, megaman, royal rumble (i remember that), double dragon! Damn straight those games ruled. I also liked Einhander and R-Type Delta for ps1 and there was this hilarious game by the name of SKULLMONKEYS....it was done by the creator of Earthworm Jim (great game). But SKULLMONKEYS is so damn great, I'm the only guy who probably still has a copy.....and and....damn need more games to think of

Hell Yeah! that would be sweet! But you know how the media works nowadays. Something has to get popular enough to bring out a game, for example maybe if they had a new GI Joe show then if that was successful they would bring toys and then finally a game; But not just any game, just a crappy excuse to make even more money from the already brainwashed minds. Ofcourse that would happen if the game company was American or European.
Japanese Game Companies are the ones I favor.....simply because they see video games as something more than just dollar signs. Heck most Japanese Games actually get turned into shows (ex: pokemon, kirby, megaman and so on). Although most of the shows are crappy and intended for kids. Anyways I rambled too much.....

How hard could it be to get through these? One is N-W-S-W, and one is N-N-N-N-N. Hell, they even TELL you how to get through the Lost Woods!

Huh? Oh right. Best video games. Hold on a sec . . .

Final Fantasy VI (no, I did not forget an "I" there), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Star Ocean, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Rockman and Forte, Megaman Battle Network, Megaman Battle Network 2, Dynamite Headdy, Gunstar Heroes, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 0, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, and Sonic Heroes (it's not out yet, but it will be out very soon for Gamecube. Look it up.)

I also would have to say that Half Life is one of the best games ever. For starters the game was almost doom era and people slill play mods of it to this day (CS day of defeat ect..). Also it was one of the first FPS games to have an internal storyline that a person didn't have to read to find out. Not to mention that it was arguably one of the first survival FPS games where the goal is to get out alive, not to just clear out every room you can find. But i can rant about half life all day so i'll leave it at this. Half Life rules!

Final Fantasy 7. That just plain rules.
Metal Gear Solid. Also rules. Ryuho is right about the neck-snapping thing.
Unreal Tournament 2004. Been playing that a lot lately.
Something else ive been playing for a while is..... Wait for it...... Gungrave!!!! The Game!!!! And its pretty good!!!! A bit short, But good anyway!!!!!! I'm gonna stop using exclamation marks now.

hmm ... this isnt an easy question :(

The best game created so far would have to be the one with the most endings, the most characters, the most choices, the most things you can do, the best graphics, and the best storyline. But then again everyone has there own opinion about what makes a great game ... sooo ...

most endings: Star Ocean: the second story (over 80)

most characters: Suikoden2 (over 108)

most choices/options with characters and items: Final Fantasy Tactics

most things you can do: Fable

best graphics: Halo2

best story: Lunar: silver star story

these are just my opinion ... i cant choose just one

...ARGGGGGG.

I Hate when people list somthing as their favorite when they haven't played it.

Unless you are a play tester, you have no right to say ANYTHING about fable. This applys from the time you hear about it till one hour after you play it.

Hands down, Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is by far the best multiplayer in the history of worldly creation, and it's a fighting game with a redefined style. I mean, just when you look at it, it's automatically a must-buy: all of your favorite Nintendo characters duking it out. Not to mention the gorgeous graphics, ingenius control scheme, numerous unlockables, and basically an encyclopedia of almost every Nintendo's game (the trophy collection). There are plenty of modes, I mean, it's just as much fun to play with one player as it is multiple people. And it's replay value is the incredible. If it had online play... I would never leave the house.

Very true but I have seen all the tailers for Fable and it is going to mark a new chapter in what role playing games are going to be. Here, check out this preview (http://www.game-revolution.com/previews/featured/xbox/fable/fable.htm) from game-revolution and see what you think.

But the point is, you don't know anything about how good a game Fable is. You haven't played it. You can't say its your favorite game because the proof is in the puddin'. A fancy trailer does not a good game make.

you don't know anything about how good a game Fable is
Here are just some of the things you can do in this game I know nothing about. Get married, cheat on your wife, kill whoever you want, be a good person or a bad person (save the damsel in distress or kill the damsel and steal her fancy ring), run around in your underware, flip people off (tons of these gestures and expressions), buy a house, choose to walk around with a smile or big ugly sneer, bust out an evil laugh or compliment some one on how good they look, everything in Fable is in real time evan the combat, do allot of good deeds and little children will follow you around, do allot of bad stuff and watch people come back for revenge, run in fear, or just make best buddies with other "bad" people. Everything you do has a reaction. Kill someones best friend and later in the game they'll want your head. Compliment a lady and she might take a likeing to you. Your actions dictate how the world treats you. There is no handy 'undo horrible decision button' ... its like real life. You can use a sword and bow, and/or magic. Walk around more at night and your skin will be stark white. Spend most of your time durring the day and sport a nice tan.

The only down-side I think is everyone starts off with the same avatar. The things you choose to do durring the game determin how you look. Spend more time on magic and you'll find your hair whitening a bit as your body takes a back seat to your mind. Spend more time melee fighting and you'll sprout a few inches and grow some macho hair in strange places.

You start out as a young child and grow into an adult. Your look will change depending on how you behave. You might evan find yourself with a halo on your head or you might sprout some horns.

"Fable features a cenrtal plot surrounded by an enormous, living, breathing world fillled with warriers, monsters, traders, families, beggers, pickers, grinners, lovers, sinners, and evan those who play there music in the sun."

One more thing. The combat system comes complete with combo multipliers that will increase the amout of XP you learn in balttle, rewarding smart play over button shashing.

I agree with MP 2000. It would be like me saying that GTA: San Andreas in the best game ever. I have heard good things about it, BUT ITS NOT OUT YET. You can say Fable is the best game ever after you played it. Until you play it, you know nothing.
