Personally, I've never really liked any J-pop or J-rock that I've heard, but as you can see this guy isn't really either. I find his work really spacy and nice sounding to the point of calming.

I was just wondering of any of you guys have heard of him. If you haven't, well I'd check out the video if you're interested. Hope you enjoy.

I heard some of his stuff a few weeks ago. It is really good. It's really catchy, but there's always enough going on to keep it interesting on the next listen. There are a lot of unfamiliar-sounding instruments, too - there are a lot of instruments in general, yet it feels really organic. The overdubs don't feel overdubbed. His voice bothered me a little at first, but I like it now.

His music reminds me a little of bands like Of Montreal, all of those weird psychedelic indie pop bands. But he's got a different sensibility that makes him sound a lot more distinguished. It feels foreign, and not familiar at all. I think that's why I like it so much.
