Concentration of irons in XXXX [std beer]:
Chloride : 230.8888 mg/L
Nitrate : 6.883 mg/L
Phosphate : 220.2528 mg/L
Sulfate : 249.5774 mg/L

Average of duplicate samples, determine using ion chromatography using in the normal manor [std curve deduced from a set of known concentrations].

I just realized why cos^2(x)+sin^2(x) = 1.

I've taken it as fact for years, but I just saw the underlying beauty of it all. It all boils down to definitions.

cos(x) = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse
sin(x) = Opposing side / Hypotenuse

So,

cos^2(x) = (Adjacent side)^2 / (Hypotenuse)^2
sin^2(x) = (Opposing side)^2 / (Hypotenuse)^2

So,
sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = ((Adjacent side)^2 + (Opposing side)^2) / Hypotenuse ^ 2

But, Pythagoras' theorem clearly states that

Hypotenuse^2 = Adjacent^2 + Opposing^2

So, by sheer definition, sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = Hypotenuse^2 / Hypotenuse^2 = 1

Just learned that I still remember some basic maths and that this isn't complete gobbledygook to me.

cos(x) = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse
sin(x) = Opposing side / Hypotenuse

So,

cos^2(x) = (Adjacent side)^2 / (Hypotenuse)^2
sin^2(x) = (Opposing side)^2 / (Hypotenuse)^2

So,
sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = ((Adjacent side)^2 + (Opposing side)^2) / Hypotenuse ^ 2

But, Pythagoras' theorem clearly states that

Hypotenuse^2 = Adjacent^2 + Opposing^2

So, by sheer definition, sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = Hypotenuse^2 / Hypotenuse^2 = 1

It all boils down to definitions.

That's how I got through math in high school. Things are much easier when you understand why something is what it is. At least, when I could not remember certain trig identities, I could derive them.

Like since sin^2(x) +cos^(x) = 1 then dividing everything by sin^2(x) or cos^2(x) would yield two other important identities

Although the Torch Relay was introduced in 1936.

They did perhaps not invent the event, but they did invent the aesthetics of it. They also invented live sports broadcasts, which arguably is on par with the holocaust, evil-wise.

I learned that Feynman Diagrams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feynman_diagram) give me a serious headache.

I have also found a serious design flaw in my biological shell. After 16 hours of activity, mental and physical performance deteriorates rapidly, requiring 7-8 hours of hibernation, "sleep" as the natives of this planet calls it. What purpose this has vexes me, I already consume nutrients several times a day so it doesn't seem to be some sort of recharge. Perhaps the biological computer in my head suffers from poorly designed garbage collection, so that a separate clean up cycle is necessary?

Addendum: The substance "coffee" seems to stave off the immediate need for this hibernation.

Then I suspect it's not in your mouth. It probably gets in your blood and then in your lungs, after which you exhale it reintroducing the onion flavor to your mouth. That happens to a lot of stuff, though most of the time we can't tell, but the taste of onions is pretty prominent which might be why you can taste it.

An even crazier example is Dimethyl sulfoxide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimethyl_sulfoxide). If you get it on your finger, you can taste it in your mouth shortly after.

From all this wiki-surfing, I have a fleeting understanding of a lot of meaningless crap like the connections between Doctor Who and Richard Dawkins, the inner workings of Tower Bridge, who played Xena's sidekick, a time line of the popularity of the beehive hairdo, obscure foreign cookware, 17th century fashion, helicopter rotor design, Buckminister Fuller's sleeping habits, meander formation, the inner workings of cats' eyes, the history of the ampersand, etc.

Yes and no. It's got to do with quantum physics (the infinite order perturbation of the time evolution operator or some such gobbledygook), so it does describe those things, and other things.

The expression should instill fear. Not only does the sum have an infinite amount of elements, many of the which are infinite dimensional integrals with an infinite operator product as integrand.
