I want to know what your favorite drawing/graphics program is
Mine is Adobe Photoshop without a second thought
there is no limit to what you can do with Photoshop at least from what I've seen So what is your favorite drawing/graphics program and why

 Gimp, Its very user friendly, and your wallet wont hate you. It is very easy to work with and offers almos all the functions that Photoshop offers and its FREE!!! That and Xara, another linux program a lot like Illustrator. It is the fastest vectoring software available, faster that Adobe, but If you want more for imange editing and variety Id go with Illusrtator.

Photoshop. But I'm pretty sure that I'd love Illustrator way more if I actually bothered to lean how to use it :|

Photoshop. I learn new stuff everyday, and I cannot go a day without cracking it open to fiddle with stuff.

Gimp and photoshop is tied as my favorite. I love using photoshop, and I love using Gimp so I can't choose between the two.

MS Paint ⌐.⌐

but seriously, for 2D art, I like Illustrator CS3 more than Photoshop CS4 when it comes to making stuff from scratch.
but Photoshop CS4 > Illustrator CS3 when it comes to editing images.
I've got GiMP as well, but the layers system in it confused me to the point of not using it anymore.
I also like Corel Painter X because it does some things very easily that Photoshop has a hard time with (like rotating the canvas without using numbers? ingenious! and the paint effects? amazing!)

for 3D art, I'm in love with 3ds Max. I've only got 3ds Max 9 right now... but when I reformat into 64-bit XP Pro (either tomorrow or the next day), I'll be installing 3ds Max 2008. I never did get around to learning Maya... i should really get on that lol.

Photoshop, and it's also the only one I use. I have previously tried Jasc Paint Shop Pro *cough* bad memories. D:

Photoshop, definitely. Been in love ever since 7.0

I've tried GIMP but I couldn't get the hang of it after being so used to the commands in Photoshop. Ah well. :)

I'd have to say Adobe Illustrator. I'm taking a graphic design class right now, and we're learning how to use it. It's the best so far from what i've seen.

I write my own software to render fractals (http://www.animeforum.com/showthread.php?t=75703) and whatnot.

If I need to draw something digitally, I use the GIMP and my trusty wacom.

Illustrator and I are in a love-hate relationship... It's a great program, which can greatly aggravate me at times.
Photoshop is great to work with, but doesn't pose to many problems, which makes it a bit boring to use at times.
I'd be totally in love with Painter X.. if I had a tablet, which I don't :<_<:
Apophysis is great for making fractals, 2D and 3D, it's also very user friendly, so any graphics novice could probably take a crack at it.

But I'd have to say my all time favorite is the first in the list, Illustrator, but that's probably because I'm using that the most nowadays.

It's good to be a software troglodyte. I still have old winamp 2.0 on my windoze disk. Good times.

I'm used to Adobe Photoshop 7.0, no matter what i need to do with photos, or graphics, i'd just depend on that and only!
