Also, I wasn't sure in some places whether the subject should be "I", "we" (it's a duet), or "you."

Reading it along I think you've got the subjects right. This part below is pivotal to the song as it actually describe what the singer will eventually do - and unfortunately it's a mouthful that is very hard to describe in English:-

光の群 紛れながら
辛くて 一人 身を裂いた
By inferring from the next sentence, the meaning of 紛れ changes to "led into unwillingly"; as the invisible bonds are living in the dark, the singer couldn't afford to get amidst the "light side" she's strayed into.
