In ancient England a person ! could not have sex unless you
had consent of the King (unless you were in the Royal Family). When anyone
wanted to have a baby, they got consent of the King, the King gave them a

know where that came from.

In 2003, a North Carolina State University study of over 15,000 women
found that women who performed the act of fellatio and swallowed semen
on a regular basis - one to two times a week - reduced their risk of
breast cancer by up to 40 percent. No benefit was found for those who
did not participate regularly.

In addition to reducing risk of breast cancer, semen was shown to reduce the length and severity of common colds,
soothes a sore throat, and even manage depression!

"Only with regular occurrence will your chances be reduced, so I
encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of
their daily routine," said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers
at the University. "Since the emergence of the research, I try to
fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances."

Why would you name something Coca Cola, using coca leaves in it's manufacture, but magically name it after Cocaine? They are naming it after the plant the cocaine is derived from, not the cocaine itself. It's an incredibly simple concept.

Urban legend holds that lovebugs are synthetic — the result of a University of Florida genetics experiment gone wrong[3]. Speculation about the lovebug abounds. This is partly due to the fact that this insect is an unseen beneficial (lives and feeds in the thatch of grasses) for most of the year. As a result, most scientists are not as concerned with the details of this insect's life cycle, biology and other facets of its existence as they are with more serious pests. For example, while various fungi are known or suspected of being natural controls for this species,[1] time and funding do not allow the for more study, except as a side interest.

Research of L. L. Buschman showed that migration explained the introduction of the lovebug into Florida and other southeastern states, contrary to the urban myth that the University of Florida imported them to help control the mosquito population.[4]

Sean hates lovebugs.

Not entirely true.
By being part Jew she was refering to him being an isrealite. Or of partial decendance from people of that area of the middle east.
However, it's been found that Hitler actually didn't come from a bloodline from that part of the world.

My point was, Judaism isn't a race. And if you want to get super-technical, most Jews have a mixture of Israelite blood deluded with the blood of whoever their groups happened to be living with at any given time in the 2000 years they were scattered from Israel. So now days Israeli is a nationality, but it still isn't a "race" anymore then American is. Now if you want to say that some have thought that Hitler was decended from a relation that wasa Jew, I would say yes, some have thought that.

Any given ejaculation has enough sperm cells in it to impregnate every woman in America twice over. That does mean there are 599,999,999 abortions even if you do get her pregnant. Not true. Average sperm count is 40,000,000 (http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/menshealth/facts/semenandsperm.htm). Number of people in U.S. is about 300,000,000. Females consist of 51% of the U.S. Population. You do the math.

Also, in spite of what the Catholic Church likes to believe, every sperm that doesn't get a women pregnant is not an abortion. A spermatozoa only contains half of the information needed to make a human. Same thing with the female egg. The medical definition of conception doesn't even take place until the fertilized egg has implanted itself in the uterine wall. If a sperm discharge were abortion by some crazy definition let's not forget that females would commit abortion every (roughly) 30 days.

Coca-cola was invented by Doctor John Pemberton a pharmacist from Atlanta, Georgia. The name was suggested by John Pemberton's bookkeeper Frank Robinson. The name was coined based on the central ingredients; extracts of the coca leaf and kola nut.

Folklore has it that the original beverage contained cocaine from the coca leaf, at least until the passage of the Pure Food and Drugs Act in 1906. The official position of the firm, however, is that the drink does not and has never contained the drug.

Right handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people

;_; why...?

And here's why we ended up with orange and red m&ms (thank you wiki)
Red candies were eliminated in 1976 due to health concerns over the dye amaranth (http://209.85.173.104/wiki/Amaranth_(dye)) (FD&C (http://209.85.173.104/wiki/FD%26C) Red #2), which was a suspected carcinogen (http://209.85.173.104/wiki/Carcinogen), and were replaced with orange-colored candies (this despite the fact that M&M's did not contain the dye; the action was purely to satisfy worried consumers). By 1987, the public had forgotten the scare, and the red candies were reintroduced, but they also kept the orange colored M&M's. They currently contain Allura Red AC (http://209.85.173.104/wiki/Allura_red_AC) (FD&C Red #40). In Europe, Allura Red AC (E129) is not recommended for consumption by children. It is banned in Denmark, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, and Norway. Instead, Cochineal (http://209.85.173.104/wiki/Cochineal) (E120) is used in the red shells.

A year is, is within a few days margin 4pi²/μ0 seconds long, where μ0 is a fundamental constant of physics that called the permeability of vacuum regulating magnetic fields in vacuum, and is related to the speed of light and the permittivity of vacuum ε0 (regulating electric fields in vacuum) in the following fashion: c²ε0μ0 = 1. On a sidenote, Einstein's famous formula relating mass to energy can also be written E=m/(μ0ε0)

The length of a year in seconds can also be expressed roughly as pi*10^7.

While on the topic of pi, when dropping needles on a wood floor with panels the same width as the needles, the probability of a needle landing on two panels is 2/pi.

1. Pimples are under the skin

Okay, what I should have said is this

"You shed a LAYER of skin each day. We have muliple thin layers of skin. A layer slowly wears off through the day like dust. Infact, the dust under your bed is comprised mostly of dead skin. To the marker thing, draw on a peice of white paper. What happens? It bleeds through sometimes, not just stays in one spot. If you draw on you arm, a couple layers are affected. So it takes a while for your skin to renew and shed the marker.

A great deal of the titanium used to construct the CIA's A-12 and its USAF counterpart, the SR-71, was purchased from inside the Soviet Union using fictitious companies.
The SR-71 was actually designated the RS-71, but President Johnson botched the name when he made known its existence. Subsequently, all drawings and records were ordered changed from "RS-71" to "SR-71." Curtis LeMay, then the USAF Chief of Staff, said he liked the name better that way anyway.

Much of the modern definition of "fascist" comes from Josef Stalin's practice of declaring anyone he didn't like a fascist. Leon Trotsky's exile and eventual assasination would be a good example. Fascists are actually nationalistic communists. Instead of aiming to unite the workers or peasants, they strive to unite one people or nation while nationalizing chosen industries. Propaganda, obviously, is also important. As such, it could reasonably be said that the likes of Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson were cleary fascists, along with the entire Progressive movment in the US. Several radical movements of the 1960's could also be reasonably called fascist. It can happen here.
Chimpanzees regularly abduct and eat human infants. Gorillas, which look much nastier, usually take no agressive action against humans unless aggravated or approached.
The only species proven sentient are chimpanzees and orangutangs. Sorry, "Save the Whales" crowd.
The word "irregardless" is utter nonsense. The correct word would bve "regardless," meaning without regard/relation/importance.
Buildings do not implode. Explosives can be used to make them collapse but an implosion is impossible for a building unless it's under absolutely bizarre circumstances. An implosion occurs when external pressure is greater then internal pressure. The vessel is crushed. Think of a submarine's structure and skin collapsing inwards.
"Ground zero" is the name of the spot directly below an air burst of a nuclear detonation, not the name for any calamity. I'm sick of hearing about the "ground zero of an economic collapse" and other such inane uses of the term.
Overkill is a military doctrine conceived of late in World War II and during the Cold War. The idea is to hit important targets a few extra times just to be sure they're destroyed. It's more akin to being thorough than using excess force as the colloquial definition goes.

It isnt.

Which is exactly why I don't vote. While I admire the optimism of those who vote with a bullet, I fail to see any positive long term effects of that approach either.

I do, but I dont want to turn this in a political debate, so if you have useless facts, please post them. I dont want to be rude, but we're technically spamming up the thread. ^^

George Washington said political parties would be the end of us all.

I considered it relevant enough to post again.

It's impossible to get slammed on vermouth. I've gobbled down half a (large) bottle of martini (d'oh! Out of vodka!) and I don't even feel lightheaded.

bald eagles arent really bald, buzzards are, go figure

giant squids usually live less than 2 years

giant and colassal squids have the same design flop. Thier brain is doughnut shaped and wraps around their asauphugus, so any time they swallow anything bigger than it, (about 1 1/4 inches) they siffer brain damage. Not so completely advanced now, are they?

Human Thigh bones are stronger than concrete
If I fall on the concrete who gets more hurt, me or the concrete?

If you smash a thigh bone into a piece of concrete the size of a human thigh bone -- the concrete will shatter before the bone does. Unreinforced concrete is quite brittle, especially in such small quantities.

Some I found interesting:

- The toothbrush was invented in 1498.
- Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors.
- On average, there are 333 squares of toilet paper on a roll.
- Dean Cain was born in japan and his original family name was "tanaka"
- Calvin and Hobbes: Hobbes originally had pads on his hands and feet but Bill Waterson (the creator) found them too distracting and removed them.
- Henry Waterman, of New York, invented the elevator in 1850. He intended it to transport barrels of flour.

It was Thanksgiving in Canada yesterday.
