How do you interpret でから. It is attached to noun. What is this で, is it the contextual particle?

ささいな こと で からかわれる

からかう to banter someone. to make fun of something.

This sentence is similar (almost the same) meaning as ささいなこと を からかわれる.

but using を, that ささいなこと is target object of からかう.
with で, on the other hand, the object of からかう is understood subject of this sentence(I), and the ささいなこと is the way of からかう, or the reason of からかう.
