So, which doest thou prefer?

Normal Camera Controls? (Up to view up, and down to view down)
Or, Inverted Camera Controls? (Up to look down, and down to look up)

I personally much prefer my camera controls inverted. I find it much easier and it does help me a lot playing first-person-shooters. If it is set to normal I get all confused. People always question me as to why I set it to that, but it is just a personal preference. They would not give you the option to change it for no reason.

That is why I dislike games where you 'have' to have it set to normal and their is no option for you to change it to inverted. It annoys me and I sometimes end up getting so used to it. I can sometimes change between them though, as long as I am playing it for a fair few minutes like it. Although I adapt to inverted much quicker.

I'm the same as you, I prefer inverted. my brothers and friends always ask me why I prefer it, my reason is it just makes more sense and it's easier. I can play on normal, but it's awkward and I'm no where near as good as I am at inverted (which still isn't very good, but its better).

The only time I like inverted controls for anything is when I'm playing a flying game.

Inverted always seemed more natural to me, I am not sure why. Perhaps it was playing all that wing commander all those years back.

Normal. If I get inverted I'll be like that the entire day.You wouldn't want me standing in line and backing up instead of forward.

Depends on what I'm steering with. With a hand controller inverted sort of makes sense in some games, with a computer mouse -- not so much.

Inverted. Force of habit, really.

Normal.

It really depends what you started on.

Playing a FPS on PC using a mouse, and having the camera set to inverted would prove extremely difficult. A mouse would be a lot more different than using your average analog stick. T'would take a lot of mastering I should think.

Well I know people how have it inverted because that's how they started and they completely own me on some games. It just depends what you started with.

Yes. I suppose it is just a matter of adaptation. I always change the camera to inverted whenever I start a game though so that is how I am so much more advanced with inverted and terribly lack in the normal camera controls option.

Inverted aiming makes sense in a few games, mostly flight games such as Crimson Skies for the Xbox or the Ace Combat series (but not Star Fox, for whatever reason). Pulling down on the stick feels natural, because it's almost an emulation of how it would be if I was actually flying the plane - I'd be pulling back (down, from an overhead perspective) on the flight stick to go up.

In those types of games, I might use inverted aiming. But for the most part, I can't stand inverted aiming. If I'm using a mouse or playing a first-person shooter, it has to be normal. Even in third-person games that let you control the camera with the right stick, I have to set the camera controls so left is left, right is right, up is up, and down is down. I get screwed up otherwise.
