What's your favorite instrumental music? Classics? Some Sonata, Canon, Brahms or anything alike. It could be pure guitar or something. Name it.

At the moment I really like the Instrumental mix of Why By Ayaka, the song which plays at the ending of FFVII Crisis Core. It's so.. peaceful.

Steve Vai's early stuff from "Passion And Warfare" Anything pre "Super Collosal" by Joe Satriani (i.e. The Extremist, Is There Love In Space, Self Titled, etc), John Petrucci's solo stuff ("Suspended Animation" Album is wonderful), Mogwai, Neal Schon's solo work as well is good.

Liquid Tension Experiment also deserves a mention.

Lux Aeterna (Clint Mansell) and Clubbed To Death (Rob Dougan), though they're both horribly overplayed and used every time a TV programme needs some dramatic background music.

I'm really stuck on Rachmaninov's Prelude in G minor. It really is a very, very catchy piece.

I'm also learning a few Joe Hisaishi pieces since I found his Piano Stories albums. "Resphoina" is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm listening to a lot of miscellaneous jazz piano on sky.fm.

And, as per usual, I'm listening to Delerium, and any form of electronic music sans vocals I guess would fit in here as well.

Most instrumental songs I like are DnB becaues it keeps my attention with its unpredictability.

Other than that soundtracks and themes from movies, anime, and video games are good intrumentals too.

And Chris Botti (jazz trumpet) is very talented, but his songs sometimes have singers.
