way back in 1996, my friend let me borrow a manga, which I got to read the first one, but not the rest of them. She now says she doesn't remember the name (12 yrs later, go fig), so I come begging for your help.
This is what I remember of it. Some details may be off, but I hope it will help you help me.
A boy finds a blob that takes any shape it wants to (I think from a meteor?). Later on, some humans that have been possessed, come and kill the boy's family, and leave him for dead, too. The blob enters the boy's body and saves him, but now they are the same person. the boy had lost an arm, so the blob "is" the arm, making it take shapes. There was a funny scene where the blob takes the shape of a large *ahem* because the boy is thinking of a girl. :laugh:
