Hey everyone! Have you heard the news? There has been an accident at Six Flags!
*If you don't know Six Flags is a theme park in America with roller coasters and food and blah blah blah!:p *
It happened on Saturday I think. A 17-year old soon to be going to college and his friend went into a RESTRICTED area(an area your not supposed to go to!) and got hit and was klled by the Batman ride!
Now even though it wasn'tSix Flags' fault, some parents are thinking about NOT GOING to Six Flags anymore..and that's not fair!
But anyways has anyone else heard about the death of the 17 year old?

Darwinism at work here. Its so common for parents to blame the theme park for an accident that happens because the victim did something they werent suppose to do, such as unlocking the seat belt, going into a restricted area, exc. Its happen at Disneyland multiple times, and the theme park will try and settle out of court to avoid being defaced in the public eye.
The parents of victims and people in general need to realize this isnt the parks fault. Would I be blamed if a guy was breaking into my house and fell through my skylight and died? Lets see he hes trespassing on private property and thus, no I wouldnt. Theme parks are private property, own by the company, so shouldnt the same logic apply?

Exactly!! Unless that guy was drunk or something, but then, it's still his fault >.> Or maybe he wanted to die?? Sorry, I saw a brief news alert about this incident, I didn't read the whole story.

The whole story is that, allegedly, the kids lost his hat while riding The Batman, he climbed over two 6 foot fences passing signs that said "Restricted Area" "Authorized Personal Only" and became stuck on the track when on of the cars came by and struck him. He was there with his Baptist church group. No one was injured in the car, but the kids was pronounced dead at the scene. The ride, and this part pissed me off a bit, was shut down for the rest of the day out of respect for his family.
I need to rant a bit here so please bear with me. "Out of respect for the family"? The kid sneaks into a off-limits section of the park and gets killed and they decide to shut down the ride out of respect for the family? No in truth if they were going to shut down the ride for any legitimate reason it would be so the safety crew and overseers could come in and check over the ride and make sure it was safe for passengers again. If someone was breaking into an off-limits section of a military base and got into an accident and died, would they shut down the area "out of respect"? No they would ensure the area was safe and keep working. The only reason I can see Six Flags shutting down the ride was to try and appease the kids parents so they wouldnt get sued, which trust me they are still likely to get sued over this accident anyways. And here is another part that really pisses me off, if the family does sue, Six Flags will more then likely settle out of court just to avoid the hassle of the lawsuit, in other words Six Flags did nothing wrong, but are going to pay for it anyways. This is the same type of thing that ambulance chasing lawyers try and pull, trying to make a dollar on any injury that occurs in the world.

Oh, wow, that's very interesting, very informative :) After reading that, I'm even more compelled to think that it's all the kid's fault and that Six Flags is scared =0

Darwinism delivers another awesome sad and painful gruesome decapitation.
My condolences for the boy's parents and the cleaning crew.

That must've been a sweet hat.
Darwinism at work here.
No. That is wrong. It's natural selection at work. Natural selection is part of Darwinism, but it is not the same as Darwinism.
