Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

Looks like the transliterator who made a mess of Mugen Kairou did most of the rest of the Higurashi section too, so I'm going to be spending some time fixing it up. (Would it be better if I put all subsequent corrections in one thread, or should I make a separate one for each? I don't want to spam the board...)

I guess it's not uncommon that a good translator sucks at transliterating, you'd find a few people who are like that... I think I already ranted about how some people aren't used to romaji because they're discouraged to use it in formal learning.

mmm... this person's the type that prefers to add every spoken line to a translit over official kanji it seems.

Jim Breen's gives "defending to the last; defending desperately" for 死守 -- nothing there about being a killer.

"気持ち" never means "thoughts," only "feelings/emotions", and "一途" means "wholehearted" rather than "only one."

Not much to say here -- "部活" means "club activities," I have no idea where the beginning again came from.

Current translation completely ignores the 覚悟.

First of all, the "from long ago" is coming out of nowhere. Second, 気になり始めた is more "it has started to bother me" than "it still bothers me." Lastly, I think 気になり始めた is modifying 面影, although I could be mistaken.

A momentary sweetness

甘美 means sweetness, not moment.

The kanji is also incorrect in a number of places, so I've typed up a corrected version and am attaching it as well.

Incidentally, there's one line where the kanji lyrics read "それでも私は手を　差し伸べる" and my romaji lyrics read "soredemo anata ni te o sashinoberu" -- that's not a mistake on my part. The kanji lyrics clearly say "私は," but the singer just as clearly says "あなたに."
