For a more serious but still comical one - Rosario + Vampire

For a Slice of life/comedy one - Karin

all are good nonetheless :p

A good one would be Hellsing, it tends to be towards the creppy, yet puzzling side.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime is alright. the main character is a vampire.

[Lamb's Lament]

Try Lament of the Lamb, there are only four episodes but it is fairly good, be careful though if you don't like incest themes you should steer clear.

For a romance/comedy Tsukuyomi Moon Phase is pretty good plus the opening just makes me want to watch it no matter what "Neko Mimi Mode" ^__^

Moon Phase is a pretty good show and another good one would be Rosario Vampire. Personally I think those are the best vampire anime shows. Also like Ezzy said-the opening neko mimi mode is a very nice anime opening.
