Forgive if this has been threaded elsewhere.

Batman: Gotham Knight is a direct-to-DVD compilation of 6 short films that tell story of Bruce Wayne's transition from his position in the movie Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Now, why would I make this thread in the anime section, you ask? Because it's being done as an anime.

Yep, each of the six short films has an anime director and set of artists behind it. The directors are:

Shojiro Nishimi
Futoshi Higashide
Hiroshi Morioka
Yasuhiro Aoki
Toshiyuki Kubooka
Jong-Sik Nam

I don't recognize any of these directors' names, so I'm not sure what they've done. But, I'm really looking forward to seeing this. The DVD releases next month on July 8th.

I'm really excited to see the West's reaction to the anime style. If the comic book industry is starting to warm up to anime then we may see more things like this in the future.

That does look good. It would be nice if there were more "anime type" cartooning done in the West. Our cartoons are just ridiculous. Terrible!
