What does May 1 mean to you?

May 1 has many different meanings and is significant to many people around the world. What does it mean to you?

For me, I think of my marriage anniversary, workers rights, and celebrating nature (Beltane).

For me, I consider May 1st the beginning of Summer. The big Summer blockbuster movies also begin coming out at the beginning of May, like tomorrow with Iron Man.

To me, May 1 means a holiday to do whatever and that means it's gonna be followed by May 2 which is a local holiday xD

To me, May 1st is another beginning, it's the only May in 2008 and only once in my life. Especially this year, May is very important for me, because this is the last month of school for me (for high school seniors), which is early. I have this month left to build up memories in high school, bump my grades up, get ready to graduate, proms, and portfolios. Almost the busiest and the most exciting month for me. And only once in my life.

Well, for me it means rest and fun cuz if it's in the middle of the week (like today on Thursday), I've a long weekend at school ^^ Also a great day when people can just sit back and relax, with no pressure and stress from work. A day of their own. I suppose I can't understand it that well right now, not 'till I grow up and start working.
