I was just thinking on this the other day and wondered what bands the people of AF have seen live or who they would love to see live in concert.

I've been to see Iron Maiden live for their Dance Of Death album Tour in 2003, Dec 16th to be exact and they were playing at the Birmingham NEC in the UK. They were absolutely amazing and the stage set-up was so awesome, especially when they performed the song Paschendale from the album... the stage set-up was like the trenches of a war.
I've also been lucky enough to have seen H.I.M and I've seen a few bands such as Evanescence, Iron Maiden, Murderdolls, Chimaira, Funeral For A Friend and others at a big rock festival known as Download Festival ... I haven't been to the more recent ones, this one was 2003's.

So, anyone care to say the bands they've seen live? Was it a good concert or could it have been better? Who would you like to see live?

I saw Muse last year in Stockholm :D And it was just....awsome!
Going to that concert was one of the best choices I've made in my life xD
I would love to see The Faint live, but I think they only play in USA, oh well....one of these days, I'm sure I'll see them ^_^

I've seen Foo Fighters three times. Yes, I'm a big fan. They were awesome every time, Dave Grohl is incredibly entertaining on stage.

I've also seen the Pixies, Duran Duran (who were incredible!), Green Day..... and many more.

Queens of the Stone Age is all I have seen, but they were more then worth it. I'm pondering seeing Mindless Self Indulgence, but it's unlikely.

I've seen Linkin Park and Mayday Parade live. The Linkin Park one was completely great. I had no arguements on that one. The Mayday Parade one was sort of pathetic to say the least. All the other bands there no one even heard of and the lighting was so bad I couldnt see anything even though i was only 10 feet away.

Now Growing and Boris can be added to my list.
It was amazing, although Growing kinda sucked.
But Boris was crazy good and they had with them Michio Kurihara so it was a little dissapointing when I heard nothing that I could recognize from Rainbow.

Okay

So far I have been to see [in chronological order]:
Misteeq - really awful british RnB band. I was about 13 though and someone had a spare ticket.
Thin Lizzy

Fly, Interpol, Panic! At the Disco. Lost Prophets [welsh, boyo], Pull Tiger Tail, Hadouken!, New Young Pony club, The Sunshine Underground, The Maccabees, The 1990s, Kate Nash [sort of - I couldn't actually get into the tent], Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and that's it. Edith Bowman waved at us and it was filmed on tv because at the end of Sunday's festivities she and Zane Lowe were talking about a group who were singing to them - that was us. With doughnuts. I just went to Gigantour Sunday. The lineup was:

High On Fire
Job For A Cowboy
Children of Bodom
In Flames
Megadeth

In Flames and Megadeth were amazing. The first two bands weren't worth it, imo, but the tickets were free.

I'm seeing Dream Theater, Opeth, Between the Buried and Me, and Three May 16th.

Iron Maiden June 12th.

The Birthday Massacre/MSI June 23rd.

Sonata Arctica/Nightwish September 4th.

Kamelot/Edguy October 17th.

And probably 16Volt, but I forget what date that is.

It's going to be an eventful summer.

OMG StabWound likes Combichrist =X and I HATE YOU Fiery. I love 16Volt and The Birthday Massacre. . ..

I haven't been to anything since I started saving =p.
Psycroptic
The Amenta
Behemoth
Alchemist
The Berzerker
The Black Dahlia Murder [x2]
Cephalic Carnage
Nile
Decapitated
Suffocation
Arch Enemy
Akercocke
Virgin Black

That's ok considering I've only been able to go since I was 18.

Nile and Behemoth were the best for the length of time the set and the fact that they mingled with the crowd.

I've only seen two bands live. One was two years ago, the other one wasn't by choice. The first one was Jump5... I used to love them! (They disbanded last year.) It was my first concert, and it was really fun!
The second was Selah, my mother's favourite band. I really didn't want to go, but she made me. I guess it was payback for making her see Jump5 ;D
