Which finger would you lose?

Ok. Here is the scenario. A man has come up to you and says that you must cut off one of your fingers or else you die. So which finger would you pick? The thumb, the index, the middle, the ring, or the pinkie ring?

Me i would pick my pinkie finger because I need my thumb, i need my middle finger to express myself on the freeway, index for pointing out who the murder was in the room, and ring finger to show i am married. I would miss the pinky for drinking tea, but for me i am not much of a tea drinker.

Any but the thumb. The exsistance of the thumb is what gave humans the tool for evolution.... And for the lesser reason; I can't say I would be able to play PS2 very well without my thumb..

Same here, I'd lose the pinky. I only use it when I'm drinking. Yeah, I unintentionally stick my pinky out when I drink hahaha. But I can afford to lose that.

Well, yeah, pinky finger for me as well for basically the same reason; I don't use it as often as I use the other fingers. My thumbs, however, would be the last that I would loose.

What about stroking the guitar? I can understand the frets, but you just need one finger to strum it or two or three to pluck it.

Oh well still I do a fair amount of 5 finger picking on my guitar but I could go without the pinky on my right hand, but it means I'd have to do the shocker with my left.

It has the least range of motion and almost absolutely no use to me. My pinky, on the other hand, is used to support cups on the bottom while I'm drinking them away from a surface to place them on, to pull off the super reach on the keyboard to hit multiple keys with one hand, and assists with sweeping things off the table.

I'd say the pinky because it would not leave an odd space in the middle if removed. But really you do need all your fingers, so this is kind of a silly question.

If I had to lose both of one sort of finger(e.g, both of my pinky fingers) I would say my middle fingers because I rarely use it, and I defiantly use all of my other fingers more. To lose your thumbs would be the worst 'cause then you couldn't pick things up, to lose you index would mean you couldn't point, losing your middle fingers would just mean you couldn't swear or do the peace sign, ring fingers would mean that you couldn't show you were married and, since my friends are a bit weird, they make me do 'pinky promise' when I'm promising something. Yeah, they're really immature.
If I could lose just one finger, I would probably lose my pinky on my left hand though, because it has no use.

Pretty obvious that most would choose to loose a pinky. It'd be the same for me.

Tony Iommi can play with 2 fingers... If anything, crazy soloing with three fingers will make you appear more awesome.

Hard... i wanna keep em all. But i'd go with ring finger, cuz i'd stil miss my pinky, and that's where I put my only pink. And I couldn't do the rock n roll sign. ^^ And having no ring finger is 1 of my hand signs anyways. lol
