Is there a potential form of the verb ある/あります?

lol that made me laugh. but it is true a lot of the time.

anyway potential form for ある is あり得る (u can read that as both ありうる or ありえる)

negative potential form is あり得ない (ありえない). somehow the negative only has one reading...don't ask me why lol

How would you use those words? Kind of like saying in English (I apologize in advance; I'm a Math major) "there can never exist a time when 1 = 0"?

as for your sentence, I'd translate it as 1が0になるのはありえない.
