Very very boring unless you have friends in the game. I spent most of last summer on it, and without any decent quests, the game is a 100% grindfest. Also, for a "free" RPG, it puts an annoying emphasis on cash shop items, e.g people who buy a pet or Spros and sell them for quick money. Last time I was on, the economy was terrible for new players.

Nevertheless, I have a level 76 Knight, 67 Billposter and 61 Ranger on Mia server. Unless my friends get bored, I probably won't be going back.

I don't even have a comment mainly because everytime I tried it my computer would either boot me off the internet or just plain shut down....
I seriously don't know how it does that but hey...my computer knows me...

I've been on it for over a year already, though I've been on something of a hiatus the past few months I have a Level 65 Ringmaster on Lawolf, in addition to a Level ~40 Assist, and a few assorted lower levels.

The reason I stopped playing was Version 9. It changed the game so much, and was so awful when it first came out, that all my friends from Versions 7 and 8 quit and I was left alone.

Perhaps now if I were to go back I would see new faces, and possibly some old friends...

The game, along with its good points does have its bad.
- Focus on CS use [ Look at the loaded characters - CS outfits,pets. The Lot.]
- Grinding gets very tiresome
- The economy has went straight up [Unless you're loaded, you're very unlikely to have good armour, weapons etc]

I played it back in the day and made a few friends on it, but they all quit. I got tired of it and quit too, but if some of my friends start playing again, then I might play again. I hated how it was nothing but grinding, but it did kill some time.

i started this back in versions 6.

played for about 2 weeks and then my computer got attacked by viruses.

got the lvl 18, i was depressed that i never got to fly for fun :(

started playing about half way through last year

things were looking good, flying was well worth it after that 1 and a half years of waiting

till about a day or two, started walking more often

got to lvl 48, realised that i stuffed my merc up buy giving him all attacking skills when i was planing on being a blade so i started a new save.
(also loosing 5 mill in a guild that was canciled GRRR)

got to like lvl 8 got bourd and left :)

and now im re-instulling it, i have been for the past 5 hours, theres like 7800 updates to download and im only downloaded 3000 in that time. (and i got slow download speed atm from downloading to much Dragonball Z.)

i guess you can say im a flyff adict ^.^

im just never investing in a guiled again!

Eh, I'd LIKE to say this game is terrible, but I've played worse.

For a game called FLY (<-- Emphasis on this) for FUN (<-- More emphasis), you aren't even able to fly until you grind (grind as in, biting your teeth down REALLY hard and then sliding them back and forth INCREDIBLY SLOWLY) your way from level 1 to 20. And do you want to know what happens when you get to level 20, and then FINALLY choose your class (Yes, you're a novice all the way to 20), and you get to Fly?! YOU GET TO GRIND MORE!!! But this time, you get to grind on monsters in the AIR!!!!

Alas, it's "free" but if you play it for too long, you'll probably end up spending more money on it than you would on World of Warcraft. The cash shop in ANY game is just a big scam.

Since this is a TYPICAL Korean GRIND-fest MMO, you'll NEED friends to level and socialize with if you want to maintain anything that resembles sanity after reaching levels 60 and above.

Ive been playing for over 2 years now and i enjoy it alot! But as youve said, ive got lots and lots of friends that make it alot of fun. I tried playing WoW but the community was the worst thing i had ever seen. Ive got a 76 Psykeeper(DeathbyNight), 65 Blade(DeathbySpeed), 97 Ringmaster(HealedToDeath), 67 Billposter(StunTillDeath), 66 Ranger(LittleBowPeep), and a 17 Merc going Knight(DeathAllAround). Sure ive spent a little bit in the Cs myself, but it was that that much, and ive still got better gear than most. Maybe people who cant seem to make money easy buy alot of CS and sell it for in game money, but thats just stupid

Definitly need patience for this game, and agree with most people; it is quite boring at low levels and is mostly reliable on grinding your way to levels.. I'd say if you want to play a free MMORPG try something else.

Theres meant to be a big graphic update with flyff soon, it looks tons better, theres some videos on youtube, but the quality of youtube videos is gay so you cant really see that clearly but everything will be different, im already pretty happy with the new place they gave us to level for the higher levelers like myself, its pretty cheap too and theres like no agros anywhere and the spawns are godly and it only cost me 800gp for two tickets lasting 7 days each. *-*

If anyone on here plays Flyff, give me a bell, I'm on Mia and currently now just on my ringmaster a lot, Blixium

I first played it with some friends like a year ago and it was alright, but I only got to lvl 30 something and got bored and quit for like half a year. lol Than some other friends got into it so I went back on too and managed to get 3 characters to the third class and than got bored again. xD

I just recently started playing about two days ago im only a level 24 but its actually allot of fun the only downside is the beginning quests get a bit tedious for the most part your gathering items. Its a great place to have fun and not pay and a great place to meet new friends i recommend it.

O and i almost forgot when you get to twenty thats when the fun really starts. "flying"

I played it for a while, but it was boring. 100% grinding to get to 15 and after that it gets a little better but not by much. I suppose it would be more fun with a couple friends.

FlyFF? Why would I want to go to sleep? Because grinding isn't fun. And, like most MMOs, it's always faster to have a party and fight. And like most MMOs, no one wants to party. Go into the monster infested areas and just try to start a party. No one really wants to, and those that do just sort of limp along, never talk about bettering the party by playing smart, never talk about killing the big(Whatever they're called) monsters for fun. It's just more grinding to them.

The skill system was a complete and utter soul-crushing grind, and then they upgraded it to a half-soul-crushing grind, but I'd lost interest.

Oh, and flying? The selling point of the game? Boring. Absolutely. Boring. There's slim to no sense of speed or of anything interesting while flying, which is perhaps the biggest letdown of the game, considering they tell you that you'll "Fly for fun" in the title.

It takes a hell lot of time to actually reach an appropiate level, and those parties everyone is whining about are easiest to start when the population of the server is quite high [notice the changes in player-population during the whole year- as for example: more people during hoildays]. Also you will need to invest money [most likely real-money] for the ability to shout through the whole server, in order to fill your party and, the key-element: PATIENCE.

So, as it happened to me and not only, you can wander through the whole map and ask/start one and start effectively mauling monsters after 2-3 hours...A real loss of time.

Have noticed no change in the Flying ability since v7, and also the refining-system will frustrate you to an extent never-known in such a matter (especially at higher levels).

Besides...
it hurts when you get 0,02%/kill -even with all the exp bonus.

Used to have a 98 Billposter, and a lot of other chars.

FlyFF is... god, don't even get me started. It takes the worst elements from Runescape, MapleStory, and WoW.

The stupid and horrible graphics of RuneScape, not to mention the lack of real controllability.

The long grinding hours of MapleStory, which takes like, a full thirty hours just leveling from 50-51 if you're grinding alone.

The loss of life resulting from WoW.

I mean, my god, I still play MapleStory like... once a WEEK? Even RuneScape is better than FlyFF.

I don’t mind the game; I play it every now and then when I can. I’m still a very low level, level 40 or something. Air battles are a pain as well and it’s not that exciting to fly. Though I do enjoy the clothing you can get, but they can only be bought in cashshop or for alot of money in game.

Lol 'level easy'. It starts to be really tough after level 70. Imagine you gotta do 115-120 and then Hero and everything again.

Good game but it is of my humble opinion that one of the GMs is a jerk. He banned one of my friends for "harassment". All he was doing was telling someone that was advertising a penya selling site to stop advertising and that he didn't want his services.
