I find it odd and funny how I know several people that don't know their own cell's number. Sometimes, people don't even know their house phone. I know mine though, but it's soo easy. (???)-689-6869

Im decently good at remembering numbers but we just moved to a new house so I forget it a lot. In fact, a few weeks ago I went to the office at school to call home, picked up the phone and just... went blank for a sec. I ended up having to call my grandma and ask what my phone number was .__.

But the wierd thing is that I can remember anyone elses phone number perfectly after only hearing it once o.O;

LOL! When i was around 11 or so, when i first got my cell phone i used to not know it. And because i had memorized my mother's in any case of emergency, not thinking I some times gave hers out! ^^' I felt like a dummy for days when i realized it, then that's when i decided to try and start memorizing it. I know it right off the top of my head now. I also know my best friend's cell no. by heart ((same for her with my cell no.)), but that's only because we called each other like every day since fifth grade. And I'm in nith now, so four years straight.

Im pretty good with remembering numbers...I even remember my old house number from 10 years ago. Though I only remember:

my cell number
my dads cell
my moms cell
my fiance's cell
the house number

other than those, I look them up in my contact list.

I can remember numbers just fine. Now wen it comes to remembering what Ion, Stacy, or Dimitri wants me to get from the grocery store before i come home, that's a challenge! I can't even remember what Don told me, half an hour ago, to get for him tomorrow.

For some reason, I've been very lucky with numbers. All of the important numbers I need to memorize are incredibly easy (i.e. phone, high school and college ID, etc.)

As for phone number, the only one I have the patience to memorize is my own. And besides the purpose of a cell phone is so you don't have to remember other peoples numbers. Btw, speed dial is amazing.

I think it's easy to remember, i remember both my mobile and home number, when you think about it it's like a tune XD, anyhow i don't know what to say to people who can't remember their own numbers though, if they can't remember they can always look it up in their cell phone, phone book, ipod (mine has it XD), it's never really a problem, it's just not coincidence or useful at times when you want to give your number to people. ^-^

I've known my home phone number since kindergarten, and I have no cellular phone (too cheap for it). As for other numbers, it depends on how frequently I use them; I know my brother's cell phone number, but I have no idea what my grandparents' number is without looking.

Lol. I had a cell phone before...actually, it was my mom's - couldn't remember the number to save my life, for a looooong time. ANd when I got my own cell phonem I didn't bother to even try remembering my own number because I thought I wasn't going to be using it as much after the first week; in fact, I was prepared to return it. But then, people started asking for my number, and I started asking for theirs. I amassed a decent list of phone numbers, and by time I got Bree's number from here (Tati), I had remembered my number perfectly. And I text or call her, and only her it turns out, daily. So, I see my number, and her's, a lot.

I can remember my number, and my friend's mom's number. The only reason for that is because she used to use her mom's phone before she got her own. I used to call her all the time, so I memorized the number. My number is about one digit off from my old house phone, so it was easy to memorize.

You guys are aware that simply obfuscating the area code of your phone number won't keep anyone from figuring out what it is, right? Since most of you also supply roughly where you live in your user profile, and all that. I mean, each region only has -so- many area codes. And once someone has your phone number, they can pretty much find out on which street you live, and hey presto, some creep of the intertubes is stalking you.

Bottom line is, it's probably a lot smarter to simply state that you know your number, than to actually state the number (however obfuscated). Because, it really doesn't prove anything. Anyone can make up a phone number on the top of their head.

You cant blur out the area code and then say were you live because that defeats the purpose..

The only one that I could get easily was this:

Ii simply googled Port Tobacco, Maryland and found that the area code is 301..

With that I now know that her(and maybe his) number is 301-993-6050.. With that I can do with that is a reverse phone lookup and I can learn whatever I want for only $14.95.

Well in the past, yes, I used to be able to remember my mobile phone number. With the house number, anyone should be able to remember it.

However since many new phones, I don't use my mobile phone much anymore, so I place less emphasis on remembering the number of the last new phone I brought. Kinda makes sense really, if it's important, remember it. If not, don't bother.

Well for me in particular, I update my mobile phone every year or so. And since I hardly use it for social life, only for voice messages, a calender and alarm, then why remember the number?

I just put everything else in my cell phone. It remembers other people's numbers for me so I don't have to!

The ironic thing is that my school locker # a few years ago was 1091 and it was my # backwards.. a friend pointed it out ^-^ i didn't know.
