we debate free market vs controlled market vs socialism vs whatever. I said I'd make it in the other thread and I did =P. Don't even bother reading on if you insult easily and take all these things personally, this isn't a flame war, its discussion and discussion requires differing viewpoints.

I'll start and say I have a very laissez faire view on economies. I say true free market, because our economy is not free market. It has the face of a free economy with webs of regulations and guidelines underneath.

I think that with a true free market the people have the power. No one makes you buy anything, you vote so to say, on what you believe in by what you buy. Companies need money to survive, and can only get it by selling things to you and you accepting buy buying it. If your an enviromentalist you can refuse to buy from eco-harmfull sources. If you want to counter a monopoly, don't buy their products. If you want better products, don't buy from those who put forth utter crap to buy. If you don't like a food place because they use bovine growth hormones or something of that nature, refuse to eat there. The people truly have the power, so long as they do not give up their right to think.

A true free market helps us progress faster, competition increases research for new ways to do things faster, better, more effecient. It urges people to come up with new inventions, to trade their effort and mental work for something else of equal value.

Thats just something quick to get things started, once again I'd like to say feel free to rip anything I say apart, I take no offence to it, and hope you don't if I try to do the same against you.
