I searched this forum, and could only find a locked thread about this great anime manga series. It's about a young adult male, Makunouchi Ippo, and his quest to figure out what it means to be strong. He starts to box after meeting Mamoru Takamura, a highly skilled and famous Japanese boxer.
There are 76 episodes, with two movies.
The manga is currently on chapter 797.
This is one of my favorite series, even though it is predictable and repetitive.
