Can anyone help me to translate this?

It's a letter from my Japanese classmate. Well, I only understand about half of it.><Please help!THX!

When i first read this my first impression was that this was written by someone who's a beginner in Japanese, wanted to write in Japanese but couldn't so he used an online translator. It sounds nothing like how a native speaker would write. Apart from the fact that there are many mistakes, there's just...something about it that doesn't feel like a Japanese wrote it.

But since you said that it was your Japanese classmate who wrote it, I guess the only logical explanation is that you were careless when you were copying it here.....please recheck and double-recheck with the original...or even better take a picture of the original letter and upload it here :-)

Yeah, that person left Japan when he was in kindergarten. I suppose his Japanese is bad.:rolleyes:

ahh i see. that makes sense then. I may be an advanced student in Japanese but I'm not a native speaker (i don't think anyone is on this forum). and only native speakers can figure out jumbled up broken japanese. this is what i GUESS he's saying:

although you owe me a lot, don't give me a present yet. by just sitting with you for many hours, I could feel that you're a nice person. it was a very fun 一些 (what's this kanji mean?)　Basically, I'll remember. I hope you'll be a good hearted person until junior high. I pray for your good-health. Gotta go study now.

lol.....the english comes out weird coz the Japanese is weird too.
there were some phrases which i've never heard of before and my dictionary nor google have produced any hints of its meaning. they are:

1. おが に座って
2. 一些
3. いかり覚えます
4. 学業の進歩 (i took a shot and thought maybe he wanted to say gotta go study, but honestly, havent got a clue)

Could your classmate have mixed some Chinese with his Japanese? This is because 一些 would mean "some" in Chinese. Also, 学業進歩 might mean:"hope your studies will become better". This is quite a common ending for Chinese letters.

However, do note that I don't understand Japanese except for a few words. This reply is based on my knowledge of Chinese. Hope you find it useful.

My hubby (pro translator/interpretor) and I looked at it and have nooooo idea what it is going on about except for the last part. He thinks it is a stream of consciousness (just random thoughts being blurted out).
