Its shocking how few people on this fourm don't realize that there will be a second Tales of Symphonia for the Wii... so...
This new tales game will take place 3 years after the original. The main characters are new (announced ones are Malta and Emile Castagnie, both 16) but the original cast of characters will return as NPCs. Yes... as of now none of the original cast will join your party (although this is not set in stone). Sorry all. Anyway, the battle system incorperates the Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System fetured in Tales of the Abyss. Moving will now be simplified to point-and-click style controls. Other than that, nothing is known about the controls, but it is confirmed that you will be able to capture monsters and use them in battle. A few screens can be found here http://wii.qj.net/Tales-of-Symphonia-Knights-of-Ratatosk/cid/4213. Currently, this game is only confirmed for release in Japan, but it is very likely we will be seeing this in the states.
