Learning Japanese

Im trying to learn Japanese and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions
as to any good books/cds or pc software that would be worth checking out

I got one that is good for figuring out the meaning of kanji, and it works great! Dictionary included! It's called JWPce. Google it, it's free, and I highly recommend it.
