Do you ever hear the most horrible thing on news report.I have..The news caster says that this man was left by her wife because of some problem but his son & daugther was with him.One night the father knew that his son & daugther had an idea of where his wife had been.He forced his son & daugther to tell him where's they're mother but they wont say anything so the father shot his son (her daugther screaming for help, the nieghbors heard it) too late...he shot his daugther & after that he shot himself.When The mother knew all of this,she cried & cried...blaming herself for what happen.
What do you mean "some problem"? The man's problem is obvious, he's trigger happy and will kill people to get his way. Knowing this, I have no clue why the woman left the children with the man, or why she even was with the guy in the first place. Also, how did the neighbors not here the gunshot but heard some girl screaming help? That's weird.

They are parents, they just have mental issues or a weak will or something. When the mother was brought to court, it 100% certain that she had killed the chidren, she was trying to get a non-guilty sentence through justifying her actions.

In my granpa's place, he said that.There was a mother that serves a dinner for his hasbond then the hasbond vomited when he knew that his wife's served was a human...then the hasbond saw the fridge with the body of they're son chopped.Her wife was now in the mental hospital.Imagine? her son was they're dinner? grrrrr!!!!
Oh sorry I think this is the horrible one...I almost forgot this ...it was a long time ago.
It's kinda annoying that insane people can get away with murder. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. You just about have to be out of your mind to kill a person unless you're in a war or there is a really good reason.

Well, frankly, watching those two planes hit the twin towers back in 2001 was pretty horrifying. I was home sick that day, and thus was bored out of my mind watching something when that story came on. I remember thinking it was a stunt for one desperate moment, and then sitting there in shock when the truth unfolded.
I know it was and is still hyped up enough to make many people sick of the politics involved, but the fact remains that it WAS the most horrific thing I've ever seen on the news. The footage of those people throwing themselves out of windows to avoid burning? *shudders*

I heard some mom cut the arms off her baby and let her bleed to death.Cruel would be a huge understatement.

Too many things to list .. Although the crisis in Darfur - you know, the one almost no one cares about or knows about - is pretty bad. Certainly more tragic than 3000 people or a family dying.

Can't remember much, but there was one where a woman's baby was taken away by a dingo (native Australian wild dog) and when she told everyone nobody believed her and she was sent to court but later they found the remains of the child near the dingos' den.

one of the worst things i'v heard is when these two people a crack addict and his girlfriend tortured and abused this 4 year old girl for about a month before she was found by social workers in her room and taken to hospital. she died about a day later. on her body were cuts, fag burns, and docters say that the injurys on her back where similar to the injurys of a major car crash victim. i think that's just sick.

i mean,the place where it was supposed to go and pass was OUR CITY, and i always go home every weekend....i'm so scared about that news,now i have a phobia for that bus!

The other one would have to be the 2004 tsunami since it was very close for me I was planning on going for a walk to the beach that morning but I decided to sleep in instead and when I woke because of the tremors they were announcing the tsunami.Its disturbing afterwards when I went to look at the site with all the dead people and animals floating there.

Well, hey, in some places (most, if I'm not mistaken), they do it day/month/year, so 9/11 could be read as "November 9th", a date which may or may not be meaningless.
As to the worst news I've personally heard of when it occurred- has to be 9/11, but I did remember reading a news article about genocides in the last 20 years, and one of them was about how in Rwanda, around 8,000 people died every day for 3 months straight in 1994 because of the genocidal conflict between the Hutus and Tutsi. That really got me confused that no nations actively tried to stop the conflict, but since I didn't really remember hearing the news when the Rwandan massacres actually happened, I'm not sure that counts.
